Imaginamos que les habrá surgido la duda del porqué nos hacemos llamar “La Shunquita”, el término surge como una expresión del habla, apelando a la fonética y a la pronunciación en reconocimiento a quienes propiamente no nacimos en el bello Istmo y no hablamos zapoteco pero sí somos herederos de tan impresionante cultura, esto a través de nuestros modismos, la música, la vestimenta y sin duda alguna el sabor de la comida. Significa la o el menor de la familia.
