Templo de San Ignacio de Loyola
En este sitio los jesuitas levantaron una misión hacia finales del siglo XVI, la cal fue devastada por una gran crecida del río Petatlán en 1772. De la vieja construcción solo quedó parte de la base del campanario, que era de ladrillo y adobe. Hacia finales del siglo XVIII se sustituyó el antiguo templo de piedra cantera y argamasa con una fachada muy sencilla que apenas muestra discretas molduras decorando las pilastras y el arco de medio punto de su entrada principal. A su costado se observan la torre que fue completada más o menos en el mismo estilo de la antigua, en ladrillo aparente, con dos cuerpos superiores con arcos de medio punto.

Temple of San Ignacio de Loyola
On this site the Jesuits built a mission towards the end of the 16th century, the lime was devastated by a large flood of the Petatlán River in 1772. Of the old building only part of the base of the bell tower remained, which was brick and adobe. Towards the end of the 18th century the old quarry and mortar stone temple was replaced with a very simple facade that barely shows discrete moldings decorating the pilasters and the semicircular arch of its main entrance. At its side you can see the tower that was completed more or less in the same style as the old one, in apparent brick, with two upper bodies with semicircular arches.
