★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lot trattoria Is for my money the best Italian restaurant in this whole area. If you're in central Mexico near Guanajuato It is definitely worth the trip to visit this great restaurant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food is okay, a bit pricey and normal quality ingredients. I ordered the Gorgonzola steak and was expecting actual chunks of cheese, instead I got a creamy sauce, that was tasty but could've use more cheese.
Service and ambience was excellent, I would go back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was amazing. But i went with my husband and we received no service. The server brought us drinks(did not open the bottle) and brought our food. We only saw him when he picked up our plates and gave us our check. He never checked in on us. Not once. We watched him serve a table of five with excellent service. Touched the table about eight times in an hour. Did not touch ours once. He served another couple as well with poor service and we realized if you are not a big party offering a big tip, you will not get service from this man. We ended up tipping another server who served us along with his tables.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely location with patios overlooking the plaza. But the service is god-awful. We were provided with a small tray with two types of complimentary bread. We found a hair baked into one piece of bread - which was also stiff as a rock. We alerted the server (Armando) and he did not show any concern or apologize. He asked if we wanted replacement bread. He brought back the tray half-empty, having taken off the other bread.
The food was decent. The service ruined the experience though. Our server did not even communicate. When we would ask for something, he would just sort of nod aloofly...

Do not use a US based credit card as they will ring you up in dollars with a poor exchange rate. Normally restaurants here will charge in pesos and your credit card company convert to dollars at a market rate. The red wine by the glass, which we didn't see on the menu, was $165 pesos per glass

Decent but nothing amazing a bit overpriced actually if you ask me, but the service tho, omg that was by far the worst service I've ever had in my entire life, I ain't ever coming back just because of the service as a matter of fact I would not recommend this place at all, there's a lot is better options in Guanajuato, don't waste your money and time in this place.
