★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a lovely surprise! It's not in many guide books of Guanajuato, but one should not miss it. Much smaller in scale than the more famed Parroquia de Basílica Colegiata de Nuestra Señora de Guanajuato, this 18th century temple has much to offer and be admired: 4 massive wall paintings, a center shrine rich in marvelous details of sculptures and carvings and everything glittering in gold. Outside there is a beautiful garden full of greenery and flowers. At the foot of the temple you may find a tiny souvenir shop where there's a diverse range of goodies.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is called Parroquia de San Cayetano I had the privilege of listening an open organ concert. The place is a 'must go' when you visit Guanajuato. Next to many interesting museums like the Mine museum and Purgatory museum.
