The view is impressive as well as the local food is very good and cheap. Although the visit was passing through I would like to return one day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hasta hace unas decadas era el segundo lago mas extenso de México, la superficie actual es mucho menor y el ecosistema está casi extinto, en algunas áreas la profundidad era de 6 metros y dejaba a Cuitzeo en una península ya queda solo el recuerdo los mismos lugareños no han defendido tal belleza, queda como mudo testigo algunos charcos
Until a few decades ago it was the second largest lake in Mexico, the current area is much smaller and the ecosystem is almost extinct, in some areas the depth was 6 meters and left Cuitzeo on a peninsula and only the memory of the locals themselves remains they have not defended such beauty, it remains as mute witness some puddles

Lo que antes era un hermosisimo lago, con mucha vida y movimiento; hábitat de miles de patos, garzas y aves de varias especies, ahora, tristemente es un inmenso llano, apenas con pastizales, unas vacas y caballos, y nada más. La temperatura está altísima. 34 grados, y ni una autoridad preocupada por el desazolve o algún tipo de maniobras que nos devuelvan el lago!!!! Un grito de AUXILIO POR EL LAGO DE CUITZEO'
There is no lake !!!!!! What used to be a beautiful lake, with a lot of life and movement; habitat of thousands of ducks, herons and birds of various species, now, sadly, it is an immense plain, with hardly any grasslands, some cows and horses, and nothing else. The temperature is extremely high. 34 degrees, and not an authority concerned about the desoiling or some kind of maneuvering that will return the lake to us !!!! A CRY FOR HELP BY LAKE CUITZEO '
