★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lugar soñado! Nosotros fuimos en auto e hicimos el tour en el día en la Laguna (todos los servicios que ofrecen hacen el mismo recorrido). Si querés quedarte a dormir ahí podés, tiene una onda muuy hippie.
Dream place! We went by car and did the tour in the day at the Laguna (all the services they offer do the same tour). If you want to sleep there you can, it has a very hippie wave.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Swimming in this lake is like being in the biggest swimming pool you've ever seen.
The water is super shallow and you can walk touching the ground about 200m off the shore. The water is room temperature and the most unreal color you've ever seen. The lake floor is soft limestone sand. There are barely any creatures, it seriously feels like a huge pool.
Swimming off the public docks in Bacalar is an excellent way to experience this lake. They're also a great place to meet people. The vibe is always fun.
