Lagunas - NOL - 77760 Tulum

This is a beautiful property in the outskirts of Tulum. We enjoyed the area, it’s secluded but still only 20 minutes walk to most central parts. Surrounding roads are a mess but not the property’s fault and we have Chevrolet Aveo and could get to and for the property, even so very slowly, the whole week (including three days with heavy rainfall). There’s only a few restaurants in the area but within a short walk (we’re from Sweden so 20 minutes is a short walk?) you’ll find all the nice restaurants and bars. Only problem we really had, except half a day without WiFi (still not the property’s fault due to bad weather), was the flashing lights in the pool. Sleeping with strobing or flashing light strait into your room, even with blinds down, wasn’t that easy. If they only changed those to fixed light in the late evening or night it would’ve been five stars.

The place is beautiful but the internet is pretty slow; if u are a digital nomad, a person who works online, etc. This place may not b for you, literally u need to go to reception to see if u can catch better signal just to make a call.

Don’t stay here unless you have an ATV or four wheel drive . It’s virtually inaccessible because the road to this condo has not been built. If the electricity is shut off ,or the water goes ( the water supply works off power) you will have a fifteen minute walk to the nearest convenience store on a dirt road in the jungle. The nearest ATM is in town which is about a 40 minute walk at least. Many guests staying at this condo said they had no running water or ac since checking in. I stayed two of three nights here. I was without water for a couple of hours. There was no one on-site to give information or help. The people at the reception will tell you how to get to your room and the convenience store and get you a taxi. Don’t expect additional help if you need anything else. Don’t ignore the more critical reviews of this place. I was also travelling solo. I wouldn’t recommend. I will say that the photo of the room and the room I got matched up, which is the only positive.

I booked a room here through Sandy on Airbnb and when me and my lover arrived here there was *very loud* construction happening all around the building. We were not even able to hear the people at the reception desk. The room seemed OK but we could not possibly accept it with such amounts of noise. When asked for a refund or some kind of compensation the only thing the host was able to tell us was to get in touch with Airbnb customer service. She basically totally disregarded us and we ended up booking another place and paying for this one too. Really pitiful experience. Definitely don’t recommend this place!

This is a newly built complex in the La Veleta area of Tulum. There are shared pools and a small bar in the yard. We booked our unit through Airbnb. The wifi is great. There are bars and restaurants and small shops within walking distance. The roads are still dirt roads and not paved, so transportation might be a bit bumpy. The kitchen in our suite was super small, it might be a bit challenging to cook if you're planning to stay for a long time. Front desk staff are helpful and friendly. Overall a good experience and would recommend.

Is a good place considering the price, it has potential and probably will be much better in couple of years when roads are fixed and there's more things to do around. Definitely need a car to move around, also patience because the roads around are just terrible. Not much of a family friendly place, good for couple or small groups of friends. It has around 10 pools, small ones, they look nice but not really tempting. Theres a small mexican restaurant next door, the guys there are really amazing and food is goooood. They also have a small nice gym with new machines. Theres a smoothie place they offered some juices, smoothies, bowls and salads. Everything really good except the salads (really not fresh) You can have food delivered, call for taxis that usually take around 5 min to get there. Theres some nice restaurants at walking distance.

Avoid if you like to sleep ! It’s more a party hostel than a proper place to rest. In one month never had a proper night sleep. Loud parties until 5 in the morning. Drunken people sleeping by the pool! Asked for refund after a few days without any answer. The security guard are useless so is reception that even refused to order a taxi… too bad, because if you are deaf it’s a very nice place/architecture and design.
