Idyllic! Peaceful, beautiful, serene no adjective is complimentary enough. A lovely place if you can afford it (worth it). The drive from Puerto Vallarta is long, but many road improvements are underway. Maybe I’ll take a boat next time?? Great food, fantastic, intelligently minimalistic service and breathtaking amenities! Absolutely for lovers!!!

Very charming resort. Incredibly friendly staff. Maria, Yulbelka, Viktor, and Yohanna all made my proposal engagement to my girlfriend very special.

This place is truly one of a kind! We are having an amazing time. The beach is beautiful and we listen to the crashing waves at night. The food is delicious and the staff have no problem catering completely to my vegan diet. The property is stunning- we went on a full tour of the lagoon, beach outlooks, and saw some of the nature reserve. We love it here!

Welcome to the Hotel California. Creepy road, creepy hotel, creepy hostess that eavesdrop on your conversations. Chambermaids that enter your room without permission and rummage through your things. Property is locked down and lights turned off at night. You are all alone with them on acres of land. It takes a least 20 minutes to find civilization. No soap. No cabaña boys to set up your palapa. Staff huddled together complaining about how few guests arrive and those who do come head out as fast as they can. Polluted beach with dead fish and crab carcasses. No WiFi. No cellphone signal. The only way to call out is to sit by their offices. Rooms with CD players that have no CDs. Join them for dinner: Fresh Nopales from their garden - $28, sauce $7. 1/4 Corona Beer $7 (Who drinks the rest?). … Almost got stuck in the brush trying to leave the property. The gates are locked and you can only leave if the guard gets permission from the owner. You can check out any time you want … but … ??Worst stay ever! Traveler beware!

Go to sleep and wake up with the sound of chirping birds and crashing waves! I can’t rate this place higher. It’s a 10!! It’s a small mexican, secluded resort. Made up of approximately 16 independent suits. All with a marvelous view. You go to sleep and wake up to the sound of chirping birds and crashing ocean waves. Suits all equipped. Ok… no WiFi, but who needs wifi when you are surrounded by this paradise! Huge property with several beaches from where to pick and choose. Nicely kept. Wherever you see there are gardens , beautiful flowers and vegetation. The service you get at this place is amazing. It’s all a very friendly staff. They try and succeed in making your stay the most comfortable one. A special thanks to Nazario Medina and Pablo !! They both went above and beyond to fulfill our every need.Lalo , the resort’s driver and tour guide is hilarious ; he is also a good photographer. They all made our stay just perfect. Here at The Alamandas , every problem has a solution! “Our house is yours” , literally. Thanks for such a wonderful stay!! I’m already looking forward to our next visit.

Las Alamandas is a truly exceptional boutique resort on the Pacific Coast of Mexico. I took a 4-day solo trip there in April and was blown away by the beauty, tranquility, and majesty of the place. The resort itself is colorful and gorgeous, the rooms are spacious and lovely, the pool overlooking the ocean is truly magnificent, the food at the restaurant is absolutely delicious, and every single staff member was professional, attentive, and so kind. During my stay I was the ONLY guest at the resort, so I had the entire magical place to myself. I mostly relaxed by the pool, but I also enjoyed a jeep tour of the property, had a wonderful massage, went horse-back riding on the beach, and watched the sunset at "Sunset Point". While Las Almandas is not exactly cheap, it's worth every penny and the experience is truly one-of-a-kind! I highly recommend spending a few nights (or more!) at this wonderful place.
