Las Campanas - 97780 Valladolid

Good location and good potential, but certain things lacking... Left waiting at the door for about 5 mins before a worker came to us, also saw this happen to other customers. Many beers on the menu were out of stock. Guacamole was nice, but too salty, generous portion though. Margarita was nice too! We had to ask for our change back from staff, not sure if we would have gotten it back otherwise.

Awesome experience all around. Live music, friendly informative hosts, the food….The Food is spectacular. Came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Prices are very reasonable as well.

DO NOT GO HERE! THIS RESTAURANT IS COMPLETELY DISGUSTING. We went to Las Campanas this evening after reading the positive reviews it has received but it turned out to a truly awful experience. The restaurant was very dirty and the weird (and horrible) pictures of the food that flash across the tv screen in the corner should have been a sign. The food itself was absolutely disgusting. One of the worst meals I can remember having. We ordered several traditional Yucatecan dishes which we‘ve had elsewhere and have loved but words cannot do justice to how repulsive the food was. The longazina was so dry that you literally couldn’t chew it, the pollo pibil was completely tasteless, the frijoles were like a kind of disgusting metallic soup. The worst thing was the queso relleno which looked like a bowl of dog food with vomit all over it (see picture). Totally appalling. We both left feeling really disappointed and very unwell. Everything had obviously come out of a packet and thrown in the microwave with no care or respect for the customers or for the amazing food of this part of Mexico. It was so bad that within 5 minutes of the food coming to the table, we had left. I would absolutely never go to this restaurant and would discourage anyone from going - find somewhere else! This was like an episode of kitchen nightmares.

I had Panuchos de Poc Chuc. It was absolutely amazing! Given the mixed reviews here, I didn’t expect much. But this meal was so delicious and for a fair price l. Yum!

Strategically located restaurant with so much hype that didn’t quite live up to our expectations . We ordered mostly from local yucatecan menu plus guacamole and beef fajitas. Food was just so so, except for guacamole, which was really good. Portions weren’t great either. Fresh juice was good though.

Great spot. Simple local food. Very professional waiters and the bonus was some real sweet live music. Singer had a great voice and good guitar player. Food is excellent and quite copious. You can share.

After all the positive stories we went here for a nice dinner. We didn’t have the best experience though. The food was okay, though very oily and greasy. We got mostly troubled with the mouse that seemed to be popping up behind the stereo. It’s just not the best feeling eating when there’s a mouse peeping at you.. it might be cheap, but not sure I’d recommend it to anyone. For vegans there was not a lot of choice, and the plate I had was mostly flavoured by oil and garlic. The cheese came without it being mentioned on the menu or by the waiter. It was easy to scrape of but still not very nice.
