Las Fridas de Punta Coco - 77300 Holbox

Tasty fajitas, fresh fish, great piña coladas, and a great setting.

Very beautifully located authentic Mexican restaurant. We tried different Mexican dishes and it was really tasty and well priced. The staff was super friendly and made sure we had the best. Definitely going back there this week! Edit: took two stars off while the bar staff suggest a 25% tip for themselves which is a bit out of proportion and was not voluntary from our side.

This place is perfectly located, steps from the beach at Punta Cocos. If you're hungry and thirsty after spending the day under the sun, you must visit Las Fridas. Our drinks were good enough and my pasta con mantequilla was delicious as you can see in this pic!

A place for fast lunch with local food and nice yard.

Truly one of my favorite places. Such nice people, such an amazing location, steps from the magic of Punta Cocos. Geronimo the bartender is a great dude; made us the best (and strongest!!!) drinks we’ve had in a long time. Wish I was there right now. 100% recommend you check it out!

Two stars... One for the location and one for the funny lizards. Waited an hour for our order (two beers!) and nothing happened. We were completely ignored by the waitress. Asked for our order three times-still no reaction. So we left...

This place is operating a scam whereby they add a large tip to the bill without listing it as service charge. Be very careful when you pay. We asked for non alcoholic mojitos and were charged the same price as alcoholic ones. This place is very overpriced for the simple/bland food it offers and the service is quite slow. There are lots of other lovely family run places in holbox who care about the customer. Please don’t go here

Huge disappointment. Beautiful place, murals of Frida and Diego, good music and location near by the shore of punta coco. After a whole day by the beach we decided to pass by Fridas to grab a bite and drink before watching the sunset. We ordered guacamole from the “couldn’t care less staff” and 15 min later we got something that both tastes and looked liked yesterdays leftovers with the cheapest and almost grey chips. 150 pesos per portion and a liter of water not even cold for 60 pesos. Not even did they overcharge and had a lack of service - they shamelessly and greedy took the suggested service tip without our permission. When we questioned their behavior when they handed back the change - they were just ignorant acting like it was like a matter of a misunderstanding, turned his back and went back to whatever he was doing. Wish I took a picture of the catastrophymoly but already at first sight this is not something you want to save for your photo book What a shame. Hopefully the place next to their beach affiliate is better.
