★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a primarily local restaurant serving both the local neighborhood and the bus station. Service and food are quite good if a little rustic in nature. I recommend them for dinner and Lupitas next door for breakfast if you are out near the bus depot (Central de Autobuses) They do some very nice fish dishes. When you see the Polizia come in for a meal, you know you are in a place with good food at a good price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been trying comida corrida at all the cocinas económicas that i can find in PV, a) because it reminds me of my family’s cooking back in Aguascalientes, and b) because it’s economical! Most places who offer this pre fixe type of lunch include an entree (Chile relleno, milanese meat or fish, but I always get guiso which is stew), rice and beans, or sometimes salad / pasta, soup (usually a toasted pasta type called fideo, but depends where you go, some have choices like Restaurante Dianita), tortillas, and agua fresca. A few I’ve come across also give you a tiny portion of dessert as well, which is cute and welcome.
The one at Las Moras has been my favorite so far. My favorite part is their thick, soft handmade tortillas- they have regular but also green ones with parsley and maroon ones with beet! Be warned- their guisos can be spicy! Last time I had fall-off-the-bone tender baby ribs in green salsa. To die for!
This place is definitely out of the way, but worth finding.
