This re iew is long but plz read it you will understand! This particular property is absolutely stunningly beautiful. Every single room casita whatever they call them has a ocean view beautiful flowers throughout the resort great food, ok service, didn't worry about getting sick with Montezuma's's Revenge the entire time I was there we were careful though. If you have any health problems foot problems hip problems any type of disability be very careful about this resort it is all stairs everywhere you go you have to go up or down at least one flight of stairs no matter where you are going, even in your own room, even three flights that's carrying your own luggage they don't have a staff nearly large enough I could never find anyone at the bar to make me a drink Buy all liquor and juices , sodas food to snack on at the "grande xoxo supermarket, its way cheaper and no matter, unless theyrer are cooking a meal there is nothing there to eat, no vending machines or anything. I will say they provide you with a 5 gallon jug of hot water usually the day after you arrive, so get sandwich meat bread snacks leaving the airport. Just. Ask your driver theres a gas station on the way to the hotel. Pay by Amex or Visa when you can itll be chaper on you the entire trip. Have them schedule you a taxi the next day to Banco De Aztec, they rate is 10 us to 1 peso, dont pay anyone us unless you have no other option or they tac on an additional 3 pesos per 10 cents.. Four of us did fish one day, we did not use a small boat or panga we used one of the larger boats with a captain and first mate we were charged $1,500 us including fuel everything. The hotel set this up for us a man named Carlos otherwise the fishing trip was beyond terrible we caught nothing but seaweed oh sorry we did hook one turtle by trolling and that was in his fin. Please if you are considering fishing figure out a different way to schedule your fishing trip many many of the other boats that came in that day after limit with tuna Dorado or mahi mahi also sailfish we caught nothing and we were out all day long a very very long slow day of fishing it was ridiculous I don't think the captain had a clue what he was doing from the moment we left the port all we did was troll even when I saw Dorado in the water he turned away from them they didn't even throw in any bait other than what was on the poppers for selfish or Marlin, I have fished Baja several times I have always limited out in every time I've gone in every boat I've been in I've never seen fishing in the ocean this awful if it was because in my opinion the captain had no clue what to do he didn't know what to do when we did see the Rado or tuna in a huge huge school s he didn't put any lines in the water, didn't slow the boat he kept trolling about 15 knots the entire day I begged for Dorado and tuna I care nothing for Bill fish I just wanted to take fish home or even to the resort. The resort is a very very pretty place it's well taken care of the staff is nice they do what they can but in my opinion there are other resorts in town that are as nice and many fancier if you prefer that. Some nicer that are cheaper and that can definitely put you on a a whole lot more fish, we were offered an apology and nothing else and were required to pay the captain the tips the first made the tips pay for the bay fees, we paid for the fuel pay for that trip everything no discount on anything not even a offer another day fishing at half price no anything it was amazing I will never go to this resort again simply for that reason you should consider it and really check it out before you go cuz there's many other places to go in that town in this gorgeous or better yet go somewhere the fish is this is even better go to Baja go to Costa Rica it's it's what 200 miles maybe anyway hope you have a great trip in Mexico we had a great time but it was because of the booze enjoy guys I really hope this was somewhat helpful to you.

A friend rented the whole resort for a wedding. This place is magical. Beware of the main pool as people seem to bring the party there, every day. I highly recommend. Great times.

More like a condo than a resort. Breathtakingly beautiful. No one waiting on you. Staff—4/5 Views—5/5 Food—2/5 Villas—5/5 Casitas—3/5 Spa Services—5/5 Beach access—3/5 Water—3/5 Staff—Very friendly and helpful, but there just aren’t that many of them. No one pours your drink or clears your plate. The maids come once a day. There’s a friendly concierge almost 24/7. The cooks take forever to make everything (by U.S. standards). Views—Amazing! Everywhere overlooks the ocean! The oceanview pools are so cool. If you’re in it for the photo ops, go there for sure! Food—Not chefs, just cooks. (Sorry, ladies! You’re very nice!) If you’re a foodie at all, plan on making your own food. Traditional Mexican is bland and over cooked and all served lukewarm. The beans got runnier every day. Processed hamburgers were raw. Queso fresco was the only cheese available. And when something runs out, it’ll take them 45 minutes to make more. If you can live off guacamole and pineapple, then you don’t really need it prepared for you any way. Villas—Luxurious and breathtaking! Casitas—Not so much. They were just alright. They’re all around the main eating/pool area. You hear everything. If you’re doing a wedding, it’s not fair that some guests kinda get shafted. The pop-up beds are a 6” mattress on a box. Consider relocating your excess guests. Spa Services—They come to your room and are amazing for the price!!! Beach access—You have to basically climb down a mountain. It’s doable. There’s a trail. But a lot of us didn’t do it more than once the whole week. Water—A watercooler jug of warm water in every kitchen. A lot of us got sick. And some of us suspected they were filling up the jugs at the tap. Dunno for sure. Not everyone got sick. I’d say just to be safe, plan on ordering extra bottled water for your party (since you have to do it ahead of time). Or if you’re joining a group, go into town and buy water as soon as you can. I hate saying anything negative about this place, because the staff was so nice. I think those of us who stayed in the villas and made their own food had a 5/5 time. And it was a great place to enjoy each other’s company.

The villas and casitas were incredible. Service was amazing, they were very detailed with their maintenance of the hotel, concierge were incredibly helpful. Location wise the view is unbeatable you can't see the other resorts in the area but is still accessible to town and beaches.

We would highly recommend Las Palmas for a destination wedding! We rented the Las Palmas property for our wedding and were absolutely blown away by the property and staff. Nestled in the hills of Huatulco, Las Palmas is a beautiful property with lush tropical landscaping. The villas and casitas are beautifully furnished and sparkling clean. There are also great common spaces for groups to gather and hang out. In addition to the main palapa, each of the villas has a large “hang out” space near the pool with sofas, lounges and a kitchen, and these were the hubs of entertainment during our stay. In room spa service was also available for very affordable prices. There are two beautiful beaches within walking distance. We and our guests were typically the only people on Playa El Violin, making it feel nearly private. We stayed in the Dolphin villa on the top floor for our wedding week. The view of the ocean was absolutely incredible and the infinity pool was the place to be all week. We chose to have daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner served to guests in the main palapa. The food was delicious and never disappointed. The tostadas were a favorite! It was really nice to have the meals provided on the property so that guests could relax and get to know each other over shared meals - it really brought everyone together. Margarita is an incredible chef and cook! All our guests raved about how perfect the venue and food were! Talina was our wedding coordinator and executed everything with precision and professionalism. We arrived at Las Palmas the Thursday before our Sunday wedding. Prior to arriving at the property, we had some wedding details planned including the wedding day timeline, flowers, photographer, and dishes to try for our wedding menu. On Thursday and Friday, Talina took us to sample different catering dishes and wedding cakes for our wedding. We also selected the table and decor style and met with the DJ. She has well established relationships with all the vendors and everything operated smoothly. If there was ever a problem, we never knew about it because Talina handled everything with perfect poise. On the wedding day, Talina and team handled all the set up for the events so the bridal party could just relax. Her attention to detail is incredible, and I would trust her with just about anything. Thank you, Talina!

One of the most beautiful, delightful, relaxing resorts I've ever been to. It was perfect for our group of family and friends who gathered for a week together to get to know each other and celebrate a wedding. With 4 infinity pools and plenty of places to gather, it was spectacular for a group such as ours. Loved the views, the ambience and the wonderful staff.

we stayed here for a week and had our wedding here. everything was magical! the views are unreal, there is a private and a public beach within a few minutes walking. the pools are spectacular and perfect temperature. our wedding planners were Omar and Jorge from Oh! Eventos. 100000% recommend them and this venue. It was so special to stay here with our friends and family for a week, to relax and explore together. The hotel was great at communication. We had the hotel arrange multiple events/activities for us, and they also prepared our meals (we did breakfast and dinner). The food was so so delicious. the concierge oscar and angel were so helpful, quickly answering whatsapp messages and getting everything done. we had a bartender come a few times, and that was lovely as well. my wedding week here was honestly beyond my dream fantasy, and i absolutely recommend it. if anyone has questions, feel free to dm me, as i did message others prior to committing and it really helped!!!
