★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great hotel but some tips for improvement are.. the pool music is horrible. Backstreet Boys? Really??? I love BB but I prefer not to listen to that on Vacation in Mexico. It would be nice to have authentic Mexican food too. The wheelchair accessibility needs an upgrade. It’s a longer walk around the resort due to the lack of ramps. No coolers or speakers at the pool but ok at the beach. The rooms are big and enough room. There is a small store on site.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a great time! The facility is well maintained and secure. The staff was exceptional and on point.
My only let down was the fact that all the pools are not heated. The waterslide/pool, small kiddie pool and the lazy river were way too cold to use.
Our vacation was 12/27/21 - 1/2/22.
Side note... 4 of us went on a 4 hour fishing trip and caught a lot of fish. Through a local guide it cost us $200. Our boat captain informed us that most of fishing guides/captains only make $120 for a 4 hr trip. If you go to boat ramps you can book directly with a captain for $120.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really friendly staff, especially the activities committee! We have visited multiple times and they remember us! Honestly it feels like we are visiting friends. They will talk to you and make the experience as pleasant and enjoyable as possible! Don’t miss out on the great activities at the resort!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The only drawbacks that you have to drive to other areas. Like restaurants, pharmacy, there are no other places to est except the 2 modern Mexican restaurants on the resort. If you forgot anything there is a small store but everything is so expensive. Service was above par. Excellent and good drinks...pricey as compared to other resorts. Our roo. Was beautiful but one master window rattled all night with the winds so we had to sleep with the patio door open and blowing. Fridge wasn't cold enough but maintained fixed it quickly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When we checked in at 5:30 pm the front desk checked with housekeeping to make sure our room was ready. They said they were just finishing up the kitchen. When we got there, it was disgusting! Trash outside the room trash inside, crumbs everywhere. Basically they only made the beds. It took them until after 8 to get our room ready for us, with no compensation! Very frustrating! Once we were able to get our room clean, we had no more issues! The restaurant was great! Views were incredible, pool bar was awesome, waiters/waitresses around pool area were very friendly! They even added an accessible path to the beach so my husband (wheelchair bound) and I were able to get down to the beach area!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed in Phase 1 Topaz condo #204. It is beautifully decorated, clean, has updated fixtures, comfortable beds & sofa and wonderful hot shower! Great views of the beach, will definitely book this condo again! Las Palomas amenities are great too. The pool with swim-up bar was so warm and a soak in the hot tub was just what we needed. The restaurant offered a good variety of entrees and great brunch buffet. The grounds are well kept and all the staff was friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful, safe and clean resort. Two restaurants on site have very limited menu, would definitely recommend just cooking in the room or going into town to eat. Drinks at pool bar are hit or miss and cheap but convenient. However, beach access was perfect and entire staff was very kind. Store on site sold floats for the lazy river and misc items. Overall resort is very nice. Remember to tip and be kind, don’t be an arrogant self entitled American ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place, beautiful atmosphere. Upon arriving I had a problem with the front desk. The person overcharged me for their resort fee and they wanted to charge me again. On the final day, I allowed them to run my card again. I will just dispute the other charge once my charges settle.
During my stay Thursday through Sunday the cable did not work in the entire complex. There was no credit for the inconvenience. Lastly, if you buy the breakfast voucher, be careful, if you don't order their meals, you'll be charged for anything that's a meal not on the menu (a la cart). Luckily, they fixed our bill, but it was a hassle.
Other than that, this was my second stay. It's a great hotel. I enjoyed myself and the food was good. In April the beach is cold, but they have heated pools.
Enjoy your time. Assess your charges.
