What happened? How boring. You can no longer walk around, explore, enjoy, swim, eat a lunch, go to the bathroom when you want. After paying for the mandatory reservation, when you arrive you are surprised with having to pay for a mandatory group or private tour, 25 pesos in Spanish and 50 for English. We were told that things have changed due to the pandemic, but where is the logic of forcing people to walk around with a group of 15 plus guide? We were only really shown the places where our group could fit. There are so many beautiful nooks and small Easter egg like treats that are so fun to discover. I was fortunate to have visited the garden in 2017 when you could walk around freely, eat a lunch, swim, look at plants. Unfortunately this great experience set me up for disappointment on this visit. It's still a beautiful place and I would visit again if they opened it back up.

Really awesome place. Visited in August 2nd. The tour guide was awesome. He was very knowledgeable of the history and took his time answering all of our questions. It is a lot of walking, stairs etc so come prepared. The architecture is amazing! You do need a tour guide and cannot wander on your own, which is understandable since people don't use common sense and destroy things. However the tour guide was not expensive. They put you in a group of 20-25 people since it can get full. There are vendors that sell items on your way to the entrance so it is really entertaining.

Great place to walk around and look at the art buildings. Reserve ahead of time for a fast checking. Tour guide is an additional fee from the entry fee. Love the waterfall that runs thru the property. Lots of small vendors outside for food and souvenir. The closer you get to the entrance the more expensive the items.

The place is nice and adjacent to a quaint little town. The place used to be free to explore on your own, but they now require you to take a tour guide at an extra cost. The reason they gave us is that with COVID they don't want people going around... which makes no sense as it is outdoor and having people take a guide means you are with 10-15 other people as a group. Overall, the visit is interesting but not a must-see either.

Beautiful place to visit, so much history behind every sculpture and you will be amaze with the falls view. The walk could be a little challenging but if my 72 year old mother made it I am sure you will too. Our guide was knowledgeable, informative and a very fun person. You can have an English speaking person as a guide if you like. You can purchased the tickets in downtown or on line, lots of stands for souvenirs, little restaurants on side of the road and clean restrooms ($10pesos ).

I've been wanting to go here for years and the wait was totally worth it. The guided tour is mandatory, and absolutely worth it. Entrance is 150 MEX + 25 MEX for the guides tour. Guides are very knowledgeable and friendly! The tour is a bit over 1 1/2 hours and it is an absolutely mind blowing place. Being comfortable shoes and you camera or phone because you are going to take a lot of pictures :)
