Las Sabilas is a magical destination in Guadalajara. The gardens have an immediate calming effect on the mind and body. Would highly recommend.

The back garden and windows, in our home for the last several days. Bees, doves, hummingbirds, butterflies, and other chirpy things. Banana trees, guava(?), ferns, palms, papyrus (Yes!), flowers I can’t name. Shade, church bells, and a nice breeze cooling a hot, dry day. Lily pond with huge green leaves and white flowers, gold-red koi, an enshrined but unknown Aztec godling, and a couple of enormous and disruptively loud bullfrogs. And unfortunately mosquitoes which the fish can’t eat fast enough. But such is the imperfection of existence.

Simply magnificent. I really enjoyed my stay at this magical place. This place is the one you want to have for to retire. Brings you peace and helps you meditate. There are 2 male staff that take care of cleaning and are very friendly and kind. It is at 5 mins walking distance to Teatro Degollado which has excellent coffee and desert and near many more place worth visiting. Including but not limited to museums, markets, restaurants, etc. There is an abarrotes (small convinience store) just in front of Las Sabilas. Only con I see is really thin blankets as restroom doors, but other than that, the beauty of this place makes this taken for granted. Super recommended.

I’ve stayed in many different styles of accommodations around the world, but Las Sabilas will always stand out as an all time favorite. To describe it in one word would be a dishonor. It’s magical, serene, and defiantly utopian. Immediately upon entering, you are surrounded by incredibly beautiful gardens, fountains and an atmosphere that will make you forget that you’re right in the center of the historic district. Sitting by the pool, there’s not a sound from the outside world; it’s as if you’ve entered your own tropical paradise far from the chaos of a city. The owners were both on site when we visited and full of “off the beaten path” advice, and Eric, the host, couldn’t be more helpful. There’s no question I will be back, Las Sabilas is without a doubt a destination unto itself!

Great place to stay. Very tranquil oasis in the center of Guadalajara. Loved drinking their local coffee in the morning in the tropical garden and afternoon swims in their pool. Room was clean and comfortable. Great Location. I will be back.
