Las Terrazas San Miguel - 37700 San Miguel de Allende

We've just returned from two enjoyable months in San Miguel de Allende, with accommodation for the entire time at Las Terrazas. After walking the hills and rocky streets of SMA, entering through the main gate of this B&B is like walking into an oassis, complete with plants, water features and charming architecture. Gwen and Rocky exceed in providing caring and personal service and their small staff go out of their way to ensure a great experience. The best recommendation we can give is to say we'd go back in a heartbeat!

Absolutely fantastic place to visit. The hospitality was fantastic, accommodations were beyond expectations. The rooms are spacious, plumbing works great and the water tasted super clean for anyone wondering. What makes it's even more appealing is that it's directly 4 blocks up the road from the City Square which always has something happening. I'm 29 years old and this place has amazing food, entertainment and music that could be enjoyed by any age. Felt extremely safe as well. I'm definitely going back and would recommend Las Terrazas to all of my friends.

There is a restaurant in San Miguel de Allende called Las Terrazas. This isn't that place. This is a bed and breakfast. The restaurant with the same name has some horrible reviews. Don't think it's the same place. At check-in I was greeted by the wonderful Rocky and Gwen. They are incredible hosts and wonderful people. Gwen is an incredible cook, too. They are fairly new owners. Don't confuse them with any other reviews of the old owner. Gwen and Rocky truly made me feel like family. It was my first time to Mexico and I'm already looking at flights to go back. Each casa / room is beautiful. It has a kitchen, couch, chairs, table, bed, etc. My view was incredible. Top this off with over 100 plants on the property, fountains, etc. You'll love it here. I travel a lot for my business, but out of all the places I've ever stayed this was by far my favorite. It's the most I've been able to actually relax in years. I can't wait to go back. I mentioned to them that I forgot my hat and was going to get suntan lotion. Before I could even get to the store I had a hat and bottle of suntan lotion waiting for me on my kitchen table. They care about their guests and it shows. I honestly missed them before I even left. Room Tip: A short walk downhill to the main town square. $2.50 cab ride back up the hill if you are too tired.

Rockie and Gwen claim they never did hospitality before...well, they are natural at it. They hosted us in casita grillo 2 and it was amazing. Gwen baked us her world famous banana bread and made us burritos. This place works for both leisure or long term rental...Im actually thinking on moving in there ;) I cant thank them enough for opening their home to guests and make us all feel welcome. Rickie Gwen, you are an absolute delight. Thank you again for being available!

Las Terrazas was everything I hoped it would be and more. Every apartment on the property is beautiful and the sunsets on the rooftop looking down at the city were downright magical. I felt so at peace here. And best of all are Rocky and Gwen, the couple who oversee the property -- they were so kind, thoughtful and fun. My friend and I had a blast hanging out with them on the roof. They feel like new friends who I can't wait to see again. San Miguel is one of the most breathtaking places I've ever traveled to and I will definitely be staying here again when I do. Other things of note: each apartment has its own internet router, so the wifi is pretty good. Each apartment has cable TV with US channels as well, which was welcome. Because the property is located up the hill and a few blocks away from the town square, I slept like a rock on the super-comfy bed. And Gwen's breakfasts each day were delicious and filling. Just do yourself a favor and stay here. I doubt you'll regret it.

The experience was fabulous!! Our casitas were perfect!! Gwen was a great chef with nummy breakfast’s, always willing to please! Rocky was the best at helping us with money, rides, great suggestions for meals!! Honestly, you would be thrilled to stay in such a wonderful environment!! Oh and did I mention a rooftop viewing deck!!’ Wow!!! Thanks Rocky and Gwen!! Love you guys!!

Everything fantastic. Rocky and Gwen are perfect hosts. It felt more like staying with good friends than a hotel. The apartments are comfortable, well appointed and private. We hope to return soon.

Rocky and Gwen Let’s just say if you’re lucky enough to stumble upon this bed and breakfast - look no further. The experience is magical and memorable. It will truly make San Miguel - an already beautiful place - even more special. You’ll arrive up the most beautiful little hill with views that are unimaginable. You’ll see all the cathedrals, sunsets and even hear the church bells. You can then escape into the secret garden and walk up a few steps to have wine, cheese and fruit and overlook the beautiful sunset of San Miguel. The rooms are beyond amazing. Fire place, little heaters, filtered water in the rooms from your shower to your morning coffee. And the beds - ugh the beds!! I wish I could go back just for the night rest. In the morning you’ll have an ultimate breakfast prepared by Gwen! You can chose whatever you like and each day is different. All I can say is that everyone should stay here, but I hope there is always room for me to come back! This was truly the best bed and breakfast I’ve ever experienced- my mom and I had the best stay! And yes Rocky and Gwen are the ultimate hosts! They make you feel like your home and safe at all times. Rocky will swing by in the mornings for a short visit to check in and always has the BEST recommendations for things to do! Wish I could give y’all a 100/10 :) Thanks for everything!
