5☆ Angel was our Tour guide on an absolutely amazing trip. We went to the Mayapan Ruins, Swimming in a Cenote, and then had an absolutely amazing authentic lunch. The drive was a little long; however, Angel and the Drivers were VERY accommodating & entertaining to our slightly crazy group haha. He encouraged us to come back and spend some time in Merida, which I absolutely plan to do. Thanks for such a wonderful experience. ???

Daniel was an excellent tour guide. He was waiting for us at the shuttle bus stop just as described from the email confirmation they sent us. The SUV was very nice with working A/C which was much needed since it was 91 degrees the day we were there. He took us to the Mayapan Ruins which was great. We also had a whole cenote to snorkel, swim, and cliff dive into all to ourselves. The homemade tacos and guacamole was top notch. My wife and I had a great time and would definitely do this personalized tour again. They are a top notch operation.

We booked with Ralf after seeing his website. (The site is really funny—he’s super sarcastic, which we appreciate) We’d never been to Merida before and wanted help getting familiar with the city, but ended up seeing him several times after our initial tour because he’s knowledgeable, fun and someone we now consider a friend. Also, he knows where to get the best tacos and cookies, so you really can’t go wrong. And Italian. And sushi…you get the idea. Don’t hesitate!

Our family had the experience of a lifetime on our customized Yucatan adventure. We were driven in a spacious air-conditioned van by Martin, and we were guided by Guilmer, an expert on the area's most important sites, and many places of interest that are lesser known too. They were on time, patient, trustworthy, knowledgeable and professional. Thanks so much, guys!

Our transfers from Cancun to Merida, Merida to Puerta Aventuras, and then back to the Cancun airport were all arranged through Lawson's, and each transfer was a safe, professional, and comfortable experience. Our drivers, Martin, Daniel, and Javier were all so great to our family. Martin & Daniel spoke excellent English and talked with us about their families, the history of Mexico and the Mayan people, and gave recommendations for restaurants that proved to be totally accurate. We were lucky to have personal tours with Ralf, the owner, and each experience really was unique and completely enjoyable. He's a really easy person to connect with and he's also incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Mexico and the culture and experiences, both modern and "old", of the Mayan people of the Yucatan. Each tour enriched our appreciation and understanding of what it is to be Mexican, and, specifically, Mayan Mexican. Each tour with Ralf involved time with a Mayan family where we were able to really feel we were having authentic experiences involving purchasing food in the market, preparing a meal (thank you to Inaz for the tortilla lessons, Maybel for the meatballs lesson too!), and eating together using "cooking ware" true to the Mayan culture. The second Mayan family we visited took us on a tour of their property and explained all of the fauna and flora and how they were and are used by Mayans today. We then ate a pollo pibil meal (chicken cooked underground covered by leaves in a metal box) that was absolutely delicious. Thank you Jose, Victor & family (we hope that Melony had a wonderful birthday!). We swam in three cenotes - one was just walking down a staircase, one was repelling into a black hole (literally), and one was a winding and crazy steep staircase down to the water. All were great experiences! On one of these properties we also zip-lined over a lagoon and canoed! IMPORTANT POINT: All of our money for these experiences went to the Mayan communities or families that own them. NO foreign owned or big box experiences with Ralf or his workmates. We also toured Uxmal with Georgio via Ralf and learned an incredible amount about the city. Tip: when he pulls out the book he's looking for you to participate. It took us a while to figure that out ... During all of these experiences we really felt Ralf's attention to our safety and well-being overall. For example, my daughter over-heated at Uxmal, and he had washcloths that he soaked in ice in his cooler and put on her head; it helped her immediately. His eye to detail was really appreciated by us. As parents of teens we sometimes have a hard time trying to find activities, but these tours were absolutely fantastic. Not once, even while my daughter was over-heating, did they complain about any aspect of their days with Ralf, and that was a bit of a gift to us as parents! ;) Thank-you Ralf, take care, and we hope to see you again!

We recently hired Lawson's for a private 3 day tour in the Yucatan (as well as other private transportation around the peninsula) for our family of four - 2 adults and 2 college age sons. Prior to our vacation Ralf, the owner, was incredibly communicative and responded to all of my many questions with thoughtful responses and suggestions which helped me to construct a fantastic overall itinerary. Each day with Lawson's was organized based on our personal interests and Ralf made sure to include some extras he thought we might enjoy. Ralf really cared about us and made sure we were always comfortable and happy. He took lots of photos for us that he was able to easily share so we actually have great documentation of our adventures! Our driver Martin was excellent and used to work as an armored car driver so needless to say he made us feel very safe! Our other tour guide Daniel was super kind, knowledgeable and fun. We had an amazing 12 days in the Yucatan and I can easily say that our time with Lawson's was the highlight of our trip. I HIGHLY recommend them if you are looking for customized, unique, new and interesting experiences. Absolutely worth every penny!
