★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Luuma Restaurant thinks they are good but they are not.
The minute we walked in the hostess said we needed a reservation. I had asked my hotel Las Nubes if we needed a reservation they said we didn’t, so the night already started bad.
Eventually I begged the not so friendly hostess and We sat at the bar which had no fans so we were sweating and uncomfortable.
Luis who was serving us was in such a bad mood and had such a bad vibe, but deborah the bartender made up for it.
We order the fish board which was delicious but he squid wasn’t good. The octopus empanada is good.
Finally we are having a good night.
We paid the bill and as we are walking out we stopped at the bazar clothing store inside the restaurant I saw a beautiful Grecian white dress so I asked the sales lady who was from Italy for the price before I even tried on to make sure it wasn’t thousands of dollars, she said it was 1200 Mexican pesos so I was excited the dress was about $60 dollars. I tried on and looked incredible so my boyfriend got excited and we wanted to buy one in white and one in green. As she is running the credit card I notice she was punching lots of zeros, so we asked her “why are you charging 20,000 pesos when you said it was 1200 each dress.
So basically this girl was charging us $500 US dollars for each dress a total of $1,000, she was trying to rip us off. So I asked her to refund the card but she “didn’t know” how to do it so we had to wait for her to call the owner to help her which he didn’t because he was home sleeping so an employee from the restaurant finally helped her. The next day we looked at the bank receipt and realized she didn’t refund the full amount. She is a thief. I was just trying to have a nice romantic night with my boyfriend but people just want to rip you off and make you night miserable.
Then we walked down the street to go to the hot corner bar but we saw six military soldiers with machine guns on the Main Street corner ready to take someone down.
I thought this was a peaceful little island
