Staff are incredibly rude & menu is overpriced. Atmosphere is understandably empty --a shame as the place is nicely decorated.

Don't make the effort to come here. At first sight it seemed very good, nice place to sit on the balcony. The lady gave us a really basic menu (pizza, pasta) we asked if that's all she had. Only then she gave us a menu with local food. We ordered two limonade which allready they got the order wrong. We decided not to eat there anymore after this mistake. So they told us, no food no place at the balcony for us. I am a paying costumer, no? Offcourse nobody told us we can not sit there for only drinks. After that he was not friendly at all. Asked for the bill and told them they made the order wrong, said 'oke' and did not apologize. We left, no thank you for the tips (Wich we shouldn't have left...)

If you like quality, don't go there!! The Margarita couldn't have been smaller and both, the tequila sunrise had Margarita had zero alcohol. We did absolutely feel no alcoholic effect after the cocktails. The staff even lied to us before, when they told us, that the cocktail quality there is very good! If you don't give tip in the end, they will give you an exchange with small coins. Absolutely unprofessional and egoistic. The good comments here are obviously made by themselves..

What a horrible experience. Over-priced drinks and waiters tried to deliberately scam us out of our change. Automatically adding 15% tip to our bill, then charging 20% on the credit card machine. Delay tactics in not bringing cash change for ages... Had to climb the stairs and go get it. Pressing the wrong button on the credit card machine to inflate the price!!!!! Buyer beware!!

Please don't waste your time or money at this restaurant! The food is very poor quality, expensive and tasteless, the wait staff (and possibly the owner) doesn't care and the whole experience was not good. Go elsewhere! Like others, we chose to go to this restaurant because of the little balconies overlooking the church. That is this restaurants only redeeming quality. We were seated and ordered our drinks (which they got wrong), then waited quite a while for someone to come back and take our food order. We ordered two entrees (pasta carbonara and risotto with shrimp and mussels) and an appetizer (beef carpaccio). While waiting for our food we observed a gentleman sitting at the small 4 or 5 seat bar (right next to us) that might have been the owner. He was there with his younger companion, but instead of paying attention to her, he kept watching the staff and the customers and then would walk around to observe the customers he couldn't see from the bar and talk to the ones that he knew. He marched around the restaurant as if he was important. If he was the manager/owner, he didn't seem to care about any issues that occurred. The table near us was complaining about their food and the service, and he never tried to assist with the situation. Our entrees finally came. The risotto with shrimp and mussels was very disappointing. One of the four mussels didn't open and should not have been served, the risotto was cold and tasteless and the shrimp was questionable at best. The pasta carbonara was even worse. It was also cold and the pasta was overcooked and all stuck together. The whole dish was completely tasteless. Literally a frozen microwave dinner would have been FAR better than this dish. We both ate some of our meal, but chose not to eat the rest. We complained to the waiter that the meals were cold and without any taste. The waiter just took our plates without any apologies, nothing offered in it's place, nothing at all (and the gentleman at the bar observed this and did nothing). After all of this our appetizer finally arrived (well after our entrees were served). Already disgusted with this place, we thought maybe at least this dish would be good. This was the worst dish yet. The beef(?) was cold and mushy and had more of a casserole/soupy consistency with cheese on top. We only took one bite each of that and pushed it away. We again told the waiter that the food was not good, and again got the same response (or lack thereof). We thought maybe they would have an ounce of customer service and at least discount our meal if not comp it all together. Nope. Not a single discount, not at apology, nothing (except now being treated poorly). Again, the gentleman at the bar saw and heard all of it and did nothing. So we paid the expensive bill with no tip and left. They clearly don't know how to provide good wait staff, provide good food or how to provide good customer service. Huge waste of time and money. We ended up going downstairs to another much, much better restaurant for a wonderful dinner.

We were very excited to try this restaurant. The decor is beautiful with unique outside tables for Merida. Ended up waiting incredibly long with the worst service ever. On top of that the food had absolutely no flavor. Worst pizza I’ve ever eaten. Great to have a cocktail, avoid the food.

Excellent food, attentive staff. I noticed this restaurant because it has an exceptional view of the square. It was a total surprise, very affordable food, and quality (much more affordable with the surroundings), super nice place. I highly recommend this restaurant! PS: Don't be put off by the luxurious look, which is quite affordable. (see menu photos)

A unique upstairs location for this hidden gem of a restaurant. We chose one of the balconies that overlooks Calle 59 and Calle 60 across from the church and Parque de la Madre. Great views! We each opted for a traditional Yucatecan dish, cochinita pibil. We have had this dish on many other occasions, but we both agreed it was probably the best version we had ever had. Very tender meat and really nice flavours. Lots of great photo opportunities in the restaurant as well. Really modern, interesting decor. Highly recommended.
