N	Nate & Cori Baumann on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My whole family enjoys eating here. They make some very tasty pizzas. I have tried half of them and enjoyed each and every one. Their house special shrimp is the best shrimp I have had here in Progresso. The servers do not speak much English but they are very patient and attentive and have always been able to figure out what we need. I should also mention that the seating is more comfortable than most restaurants on the malecon. The pricing is pretty good especially for a place on the beach.

A	Allan R on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was descent , menu for beach food was an absolute RIP-OFF, had cheese quesadilla, rice and banana, and fish tacos, 2 frozen margaritas, 2 non alcoholic Pina colada, and a coke $94 USD!!! The menu they show doesn't say USD. Should have been $45-$50 max .... The Young boy who served us was pleasant and eager. Would not recommend.

The beer was $33pesos ($1.60) which is what we had been paying at most places in Merida. They have a large brick pizza oven & the pizza was delicious. Also had the octopus & fish ceviche which was yummy! Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend over the overpriced places right near the pier.

OMG Leña y Mar works with an independent contractor/vendor on the beach who has a row of beach chairs/umbrellas out in front of the restaurant; you rent the chairs and can order food from the vendor who gets it from the restaurant. We also tried the lobster pizza also - cool presentation. Overdone lobster though...
E	Eugene kraemer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had an awesome dinner experience. Prices are fare considering the ocean view across street.Our waitress was very attentive . We were visiting Mexico from Seattle Washington .USA. We will be back again next year on another Mexico vacation.

The restaurant is very clean and has nice tables and chairs. Because everything was so great and because it's right on the beach, we were shocked that we were the only ones in the restaurant. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a restaurant here in Progreso. We shared a pizza and a brownie with ice cream. Both were delicious. They also have pasta dishes, hamburgers, sea food, and fajitas. Definitely check it out if you're in the area!

This last time we ordered our usual pizza, and our friends ordered pizza as well. When our friends received their pizza, the crust on the edges was overdone while the crust in the middle was undercooked. We received our capriocossa pizza and the crust on the outside edge was burnt. Our waiter brought his manager over and his manager suggested we take it, that it was just "crunchy". We refused to take the pizza nor did they offer to make either our pizza or our friend's pizza right. We will not be going back to Lena y Mar. We used to love this place but not any longer. There are far better places to eat on the Malecon.
