Letras Valladolid - 97780 Valladolid

Not as spectacular or photogenic as other letters yet still some kind of sight.

Nice place to take pictures, not busy during the day. You can simply park on the road next to the letters.

Each letter is so beautiful and it’s meaningful

If you visit Valladolid, go over to the Letras. They have a nightly show at 9pm in Spanish and at 9:15pm in English. They’re actually located right in front of San Bernardino convent (museum). You can walk there from your hotel since Valladolid center has so many things for you to see. Right across the letters, there’s a couple places you can grab a drink and some food.

Unfortunately I got to see the letras when it was dark but my camera did help me and solved my problem. Not many vendors around this time and it is quite far from the center. 15 mins approx by car.

We stumbled upon this town on a weekend trip to Merida from Quintana Roo. What a beautiful historic city. Just gorgeous. Small, but quaint. Doesn’t seem like a lot to do. We walked to the sign from the Town Square after having a delicious breakfast at the Marque Hotel. If you go, try the bread and jam - so good. Walking down the historic 45th Avenue was so majestic and beautiful. It took about 40 minutes Roundtrip with my family as we stopped and took photos. There was an officer across the street protecting the sign - no one is allowed to stand on it apparently. It seems like each city protects its sign differently. ??‍♀️ Because no other city prohibited you from taking photos or standing on/near. It was worth the walk. Don’t know if I’d visit this place again but I appreciated this stop. I hope you find this review helpful. If so, give me a thumbs up.

That’s the place to take your photos in Valladolid. With the convent in the background, the letters are ever more picturesque, and add well to you holiday photo album. After all, I liked the relaxed atmosphere around this place with many nice restaurants, and some vendors nearby. If you come for sunset, the convent can be seen in a nice golden light.

Like in all Yucatan, get your photo of the city letters. Those are a bit more colourful than usual, since the convent is next to it, it’s nice to stop by.
