La reserva de la Biosfera de Tehuacán-Cuicatlán, decretada en 1998, abarca el suroeste del estado de Puebla y noroeste de Oaxaca, contempla 20 municipios poblanos y 31 municipios de Oaxaca.
Dentro de el Jardín Botánico Helia Bravo se puede encontrar la vegetación característica de la reserva.

The Tehuacán-Cuicatlán Biosphere Reserve, decreed in 1998, covers the southwest of the state of Puebla and northwest of Oaxaca, includes 20 towns and 31 municipalities in Oaxaca.
Inside the Helia Bravo Botanical Garden you can find the vegetation characteristic of the reserve.
