★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This store is housed in an amazing building, protected site by the city of Guadalajara. It's a beautiful house I guess from the 50's. Wide variety of literature, every topic covered, they have books in Spanish, English, French, Italian and German.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This must be one of the best libraries in Guadalajara where you can find not only any old or the newest publications in any topic, but also you can find movies, music and notebooks. Service from representatives is usually very good and they're friendly. I know in Mexico city this is one o many options but for Guadalajara this along with FCE are the best libraries in the city.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well organized, the closest thing here to the big book stores of the US. Also, discount movies and interesting music on CDs. Decent rack of English books, many hardcovers, and surprisingly a bit cheaper than US prices!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Odd how a bookstore of this size can have so little to read. I entered with a list of 20-odd books (in Spanish) and found none of them. The English selection is nothing but classics and bestselling young adult rubbish.
The store would also do well do avoid stocking the Mexican publisher Lectorum, as their books are rife with mistakes replacing 'c' with 'e' and 'l' with '!' and 'i' with '1' so often that it becomes a pain to read.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent, large bookstore with extensive selection of books, films (DVD) and music (vinyl). There is a decent section of books in English. Some nice surprises in the poetry section including a beautiful translation of the complete poems of Elizaberth Bishop, a book of poems by PJ Harvey and a gorgeous translation of an Anne Carson.
