A refuge working to help street dogs back to health and into homes. We need more like this, and better still a national SPCA, if we can find the will and the money

I've been to the shelter on my holidays in Puerto Escondido and took some of the dogs for a walk. Everyone was super friendly and they are doing their best to help them and find homes for them. Definitely recommend to anyone that loves dogs and wants to volunteer or adopt.

super nice dog shelter close to puerto escondido, if you're around go there and visit them to cuddle the doggies, offer them help or adopt a dog! the guys there just speak spanish but are super understanding if you don't :)

This is an AMAZING hidden gem in Puerto Escondido. ? So many sweet dogs, clean space and great people taking care of it. It’s just incredible what they are doing with limited resources. They have over 100 dogs, but the adoption rate is only couple of them per month as we understood. ?? They have so many loving medium- and big-sized dogs waiting for their forever homes there. Go support them, it’s 100% worth it. ? For me, it seemed that the support is needed the most with: ? Attention and spreading the word to increase the adoption rate. Check them out and give some love with a positive review. Go adopt your new best friend from this shelter, they have just so many incredible dogs there. Or for example, if you want to volunteer - just perfect place for it with so much potential. ? Donations for food and medicine. The place is very tidy and it really felt that the donations are going to the right place! ? Time. All the dogs are so loving there and looking for a hug and time with you. ? Just take them for a walk and spend some quality time cuddling with them. If you go there, wear clothes that your not afraid to get “loved” as the dogs are looking for hugs and the clothes might get a bit dusty. ? Love this place, one of the best things you can do in Puerto Escondido is to support it. ?
