★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had an amazing travel experience with Lomas Travel. This is all because of Homero, my car driver from Cancun airport to Planet Hollywood. He drove me on the 15th. He was a a great driver and was great company. Homero is amazing person and I'm very glad that I got the opportunity to meet him and travel with him.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When we arrived at the airport, I was extremely happy to have someone walk to the place to check in. I'm sure I would still be wandering around the airport, if not for that service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There were 5 people in our group on 3/19/2022. Below are the details:
The bus:
It arrived on time. It was comfortable and clean. The driver however seemed to have his focus on other things other than the passengers which their health and safety depended on the driver. On the way back and before going thru the last toll both prior to arriving in Playa Del Carmen, he was on a 20+ minute *personal* phone call. I could tell it was a personal call since I heard giggling quite a bit. I then saw his phone flashing a few times from taking pictures that he was sending out *while* he was driving, not while stopped or behind a red light. As that wasnt enough to endanger the health and safety of a bus loaded with passengers, he pulled out a sheet and a pen and started writing things. This again while the bus was in motion. This made me very uneasy and nervous. I came so close to yelling at him to say pay attention to the road and not to your phone. However, I did not thinking that may had jeopardized our rides back to the airport. My girlfriend Ketty Garneff had her GPS open on her phone which showed we had 8 more kilometers before reaching our hotel before the tour guide announced that we were running out of fuel and that he had to go to a filling station to refuel. This was at 8:30pm, 13.5 hours after starting our journey. In the 13.5 hours, we had 3 stops. One 2 hr stop at Chichen Itza, one 2 hr stop at the cenotes and a half hour stop in Yocatan for a total of 4.5 hours. By 8:30 pm and after one of the longest drives I have been on, we were all quite tired and hungry and were really anxious to return to our hotels. Rather we spend another 20 minutes at the gas station. This was very poor management of his time when he could have used those 4.5 hours to refuel. It seemed as he was going to such distances to add to his worked hours. After seeing Sandra Velasco's husband shaved head glistening from all of the sweat caused by the excess heat in the cabin, I had to to yell at the driver from 15 feet behind him to turn the AC back on. This happened twice. Seemed as the convenience of the passengers was another thing on top of the lack of concern for the passengers' safety, that he didnt seem to be very concerned about. After refueling, he also ran thru an ALTO sign which could had caused an accident. I am a good tipper when receive the kind of service that deserves the tip. I would not leave a tip.
Tour guide:
Seemed very knowledgeable. However, he spent so much time on very little detail in the hot sun, that shortly after the tour at Chichen Itza, we decided to walk out and take shelter in a shade and missed the rest of the tour. While the tourists would appreciate some detail, they are not there to write a thesis with that much detail given.
Cenotes:
The food was just ok. Pork while cooked quite tender, we could not eat since it was *extremely* salty. We all refrained from eating it. On the way back from cenotes, Sandra went back to get some water for her husband with medical conditions. The staff at the restaurant refused to give her water and quite rudely told her no water since you are on your way back to the bus. She literally had to push them out of the way to get to the cooler were the water bottles were and grabbed the water bottles herself.
Their package and confirmation letter:
The tour was supposed to include onboard continental breakfast and drinks on board. See attached. There was nothing on board and when he made a stop at the mini market, everyone ended up buying breakfast out of their own pockets. When brought to the Lomas representative's attention, Oswaldo, he said due to COVID, they were removed but the attached pamphlet was not updated. COVID came out in 2019 and since then noone had time to spend 10 minutes to update it. COVID came out around the end of 2019. Yet no time to update the pamphlet.
BE VERY CAUTIOUS WITH THIS TRAVEL AGENCY. Avoid at all cost !!! They point fingers at others and do not take ownership of their deception.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We used Lomas Travel for our wedding in March 2022. We had a great experience with communication and planning through the sales team. We used both a bus and crafter vans and they were both in good shape and the drivers (for the most part) were on time and kept our timeline in check. The only issue we had was that one of the crafter vans meant to shuttle guests between the venue and hotel was about an hour late arriving to the venue and also was not wanting to shuttle when the vans weren’t completely full. This raised an issue when grandparents were wanting to head out before most of the group. Outside of this issue, the rest of the process was smooth and communication was a positive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked private transportation with Lomas well in advance as we were traveling with an infant and a toddler. Confirmed our reservation with a car seat few days prior to travel. When we got out at the Cancun Airport, looked for their driver for a while… couldn’t find anyone so we stayed on hold for about 20 minutes at which point we found out it was on the other side of the airport. Upon finally finding them, we were told the wait is 1 hour+! We decided to just get a taxi and still couldn’t get in touch with a manager.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible service. We booked a private transfer to take us from our hotel to the airport at 5am to catch our flight. We waited 20 minutes after the scheduled time and no private transfer came so we took a different shuttle with shared riders, causing us to almost miss our flight. When I spoke to them about getting a refund they refused. At first they said someone did come to pick us up, and then changed their story to say that no one picked us up because of a mechanical failure in the car. And they did not communicate any of this at the time, leaving us waiting. Very unprofessional and trying to scam us of our money. Go with anyone else.
