Lon Tou - 70946 Mazunte

Pretty darn good Chinese food. I was surprised that there were Sichuan peppercorns in the mapo tofu. Nice!

The Lon Tou Asian restaurant is a jewel. The food is wonderful, authentic Chinese, the waitress is outstanding, and the chef often has something special to tickle your taste buds. The only downside are the pesky mosquitos.

This continues to put out excellent authentic di shes from a small kitchen in a small restaurant. I eagerly look forward to next week when we will again travel 45 minutes south to Mazunte and straight to Lon Tou.

Great food! We’re from MA and are used to yummy Chinese American food and this place got the spot as an alternative to Mexican food. Also, they can accommodate food sensitivities and mostly use corn flour instead of wheat flour.

Deeply disappointing. Menu was promising and restaurant was recommended by our hotel.... However a 40 minute wait for 2 simple dishes and soup didn't arrive at all. Rice portions are tiny and some veg was store brought frozen crinkle-cut. Sauces are bland and without finishing touches.

Wonderful place. Almost one of a kind in Mazunte. Only rate it 4 star because the waiting sometimes can be sooooo loooong, and there is no delivery. But the menu is top tier

A welcome change of pace. We had the fried rice (best of the three dishes we got), the chicken lo mein, and the veggie chow mein. Was it the best Chinese food I’ve ever had? No. Was it solid? Yes! Absolutely. Really good. Not perfect (the lo mein pasta was a bit over cooked). But I’d recommend it!

A weak parody of Chinese food. Our party of three came here for dinner around 8:00 PM. Shortly after we sat down, all the tables were filled out. We took it as a good sign. We, Chinese food lovers, we're excited to eat hereafter, reading all the positive reviews. We ordered springs rolls for an appetizer, two different ramens, and a shrimp pad Thai. Our only in entire place server seemed overwhelmed. The spring rolls were crispy and delicious. My chicken ramen came out first. It felt uncomfortable eating it after 10 minutes later, other people in my group haven't gotten their food. It had a ton of noodles sitting in what appeared to be dissolved knorr cube liquid. Additionally, it had a boiled fat fly that I discovered in the bottom of the bowl. The server's response was a mumble about us sitting outside. Not even a slight apology. The spicy ramen (came out 10 minutes later) had the same knorr cube base with many cloves swimming in it, way too many noodles, and ground beef on top. Pad Thai (came out after both of us were done with our food) was mediocre with flavorless, overcooked shrimp. Save your time, tastebuds, and money and eat elsewhere in Mazunte. Luckily, there are many great options around.
