★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great service and decent prices. However, their coffee was awful. The white mocha wouldn't mix in and instead ended up in big clumps on the bottom. Some of the food was excellent while others were disgusting and disappointing. Eggs and bacon were perfect! The hashbrowns were the grosses things I've eaten here in Mexico. And their waffles were cold and chewy like rubber. Definitely not my favorite place but has potential to be good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So we went back today and tried a full breakfast. I ordered the big breakfast and it arrived cold ( eggs, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, toast, waffle).. Coffee was cool too and I had to ask for water 3 times. Cold, cold, cold and almost uneatable. I left a lot on my plate. The young staff is so nice and friendly, but at times they may be in over their heads.

We tried almost everything on the menu and it was so delicious. Try the chilaquiles burrito if you’re feeling hungry. Special thanks to Manuel and Arnie for making us feel at home.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Looney Bean is always good. The House Coffee and the Big Breakfast leave me happy till lunch.
I think Looney Bean has one of Mazatlán's best Carrot Cakes (actually I think it is the best), with just the right amount of sweetness to complement the House Coffee. But, don't take my word for it ( wink, wink)
Looney Bean feels like a Surfer's café for the public.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been coming to Looney Beans for years when we come to Mazatlan. Great walk to start our day, and the best coffee around. The owner, Grant, is friendly and helpful, and the staff is wonderful. We are leaving (for this year) in a few days, and we will miss them.
