★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place served the best Indian food I have ever had outside India. The gentleman who runs the restaurant and prepares the dishes is extremely friendly and always smiling. He knows his job well and apparently loves his job. Wonderful food. If you want to eat Indian food in Mexico City, this is the place you should go to. Buddha Indian Restaurant is located inside Mercado Market in Mexico City.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s located in place where several small food booths are placed in large area, for seating either you can sit at the dining area in the center of the place or on the street. Food is freshly prepared and served. The quality is very good. I would definitely recommend to try this place. The chef is very experienced and friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ordered two shrimp curries to take away from Lord Buddha. They took one hour to arrive, and when they did, they were not the dishes requested, but two fish curries instead. Remarkably horrible; greasy. Fish of low quality. Tasteless. (the shrimp curry, on the other hand, is good at this place).
The only justification for this unsolicited replacement? A scrap of paper that arrived with the order saying that they had run out of prawns. Why did they not tell us beforehand that they had run out of shrimps? Offer to refund our money? Perhaps ask us what we would like to order instead? For an establishment charging premium prices, needless to say, it was unacceptable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best Indian restaurant I've found in Mexico so far. Every dish was extremely flavorful and rich. Most chicken entrees cost around 160 pesos, not including rice, but the portion sizes were pretty filling. This restaurant is inside the food court.
