Excellent food, they follow the health protocols and the waiters and the guy at the bar are always very attentive, all phenomenal.

Ever since discovering Mal Criados Mariscos, it has become my favorite seafood place in Playa—a true hidden gem that is well worth making the effort off the beaten path to visit! The food is AMAZING, the prices are so reasonable, and the staff is attentive and friendly. I highly recommend checking out their Caribeño ceviche, which is unlike any other ceviche I have ever had and is so good it will blow your mind. (Think if a michelada + ceviche had an addictive and delicious baby. ?) I also love their fish & shrimp tacos, which are always fried fresh to order, are very generous, and are some of the cheapest seafood tacos you'll find in Playa (at just $90 for 3, they are a steal!). There are lots of solid seafood places in Playa, but now that I've found Mal Criados, I never want to go anywhere else. I bet if you try them out, you'll feel the same!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was good. To be honestly the big bowl we thought would be hot it was all cold more like a ceviche. The los mal criados shrimp are good very different. The sparkling lemonade was really good. The food is made to order so you will wait a little but it's worth it.
