Very nice Hotel right in front off the shore. Clean rooms and very friendly employees. The ocean view is outstanding. Free wifi and parking !

I stayed at this property with my daughter a while ago and It was very quaint cozy and clean. The ocean is steps away. Safe comfortable great food! Very lovely staff. The owners love the guests, and their italian specialties are great! Thank you for a wonderful vacation. I will be back ♥️

Very clean, comfortable, and air conditioned room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Included breakfast was delicious and satisfying. Luna De Plata was a great value and excellent stay.

Good breakfast, clean, friendly staff, good wifi. Big terrace. A bit far from the main city, the beach is not clean.

A wasted hotel, lovely with a great location, and decent food from the restaurant, but sadly appears lacking in terms of management. We first had lunch in the restaurant when staying at another hotel. The pizza was great and wine selection good. But they didn't have many of the wines in the menu. We decided to come back to stay when we returned a few weeks later (we're in Mahahual often). Booked a gorgeous room. But the palapa roof wasn't done correctly and was leaking on the bed. They offered us an "upgrade", which was an extremely poor offering by comparison - tired and dated. We decided to look at another hotel and booked it. When we came back to ask for the refund, we were told a mistake had been made, Suzette offered us another room - this one better, but still a bit dated and not comparable to the very nice room we had booked. The beach was also covered in sargassum this time, like they hadn't bothered to clean (while most other hotels had pristine beaches). She was very nice about it and agreed to a refund though. Said we should come back for dinner the next night since we liked the restaurant. We came back with two friends and long-story-short(er): the service was appalling. We were ignored most of the time, starters didn't arrive, the manager (owner?) never came to check on us, but ensured several tables of his friends, who arrived after, got their food quickly and before us. We told them that we were unhappy and the waitresses response was "too bad", the manager hid his face behind a cupboard in the bar and blatantly ignored us. This could be a great place, but the management needs a shakeup. One star for Suzette's efforts.

While visiting Mahuhual came here for dinner. This place is a little walk away from the main are of the malecón but not too far. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and it was huge it was more than enough for two people. The pizza was mediocre it kinda tasted like a frozen pizza that was over seasoned with Italian seasoning. We also ordered four glasses of wine and that was good. The service was just like the pizza, mediocre. Half the chairs were in the table as if they were ready to close but they didn’t close for three hours. Our waitress wasn’t the happiest of friendliest. Would I go back? Yes I would like to try something different.
