Luna Maya was, by far, the best place We've ever stayed while on vacation. We stayed for 1 week in the middle of July 2016. Rick was always willing to answer any questions I had before and during our stay. The rooms were perfect in size and comfort. The beds were super comfortable. The security guys, Romeo and Jose, were always very attentive and helpful. 2 minute walk to a beautiful beach and 3-5 minutes from Avenuda 5ta. I cannot say enough good things about our stay at Luna Maya Condominios. I recommend this place to anybody who is thinking of visiting the Riviera Maya. It's close to the airport and all the attractions in the Riviera. We will definately be staying here when we go back.....hopefully soon.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Stayed here in June. We initially had planned to stay for three months, until we realized the security in this building have eyes on you even when you blink. Security guards snapped pics of my family and I while in the pool because we had plastic cups. They won’t even allow you to be anywhere near the pool after 9pm. They watch every move you make, you will end up feeling harassed and wanting to run for your life. We ended up leaving after one month... At the end of our stay, the lady in charge of Viento 2 (unit we booked) decided she could make up her very own pricing of the how much electricity should cost, even after she initially told us it was the lowest cost area in all of Playa. She knew I was in a rush to get to the airport and asked me to multiply by 5 pesos the amount of KW we used. Our electric bill for ONE MONTH ended up costing us 7,350 pesos plus 800 for cleaning fee. I felt robbed but had no choice since she deducted it from our deposit and I was also running late to airport. One week later, still thinking about it I was able to download a copy of the electric bill of the condo and what we consumed was 3,606 pesos. Stay under your own risk. We confronted her and she gave us some money back because she had no choice after we told her we would post reviews. She said her bosses back her up in anything she does, so stay here if you’re trying to get robbed and pay over $350 USD in electric for two people. Not sure how that could ever be possible if we were out roaming around most of the time. Went back to Playa recently and stayed in the same area in a way better place for the same price. So many nice and modern condos with rooftop views of Playa to choose from.

I lived here for 2.5 months. My issue with this property is that they focus so much on the external appearance, the infrastructure was neglected and the tenants paid the price. In my first month, the water pump started to malfunction and we were without water for about 10 hours. No big deal, they had it fixed by morning. This should have been an indicator to order a new water pump, however that didn't happen. So when the water pump broke again a month later, they were not prepared. We did not have running water for a week + because the pump was back ordered. It was a preventable nightmare and unacceptable for the amount of $$ I paid to be here. The 'gym' here is an actual joke. It's a broken treadmill and two rusted dumbbells. The next issue with this building is related to my individual landlord. Do NOT rent from Javier Naranjo Segui. He tried to charge me an extra $1000 MXN on my electricity bill, and delayed providing me the statement until the day before I moved out. Once I received the statement I saw it was a $1000 less than he initially stated. Crook. He had the audacity to try and charge me more when they offered NOTHING when I didn't have running water for a week. When my Wire Transfer for the rent was sent, and confirmed received by his bank, he wanted me to pay via CC even though his bank already received the funds. I refused and he had his property manager harass me until the money finally hit his account, even though his bank already confirmed they received it and were processing it. Very selfish and terrible landlord. Don't rent here between the months of June - November because the stench of the seaweed combined with the nonstop construction will drive you mad. Much better places in Playa to look at.

Very nice, clean pool! Very decent rooms with lots of storage and nice hot showers!
