On a recent trip to Oaxaca, my family and I enjoyed many excellent food/drink experiences, but luz de Luna was hands down the best! The cuisine, atmosphere, signature mezcal, service, staff, & beautifully crafted cocktails all come together to make dining at LdL an incredible experience. Make sure to go watch the cocktail master, Pavel, work his magic at the speakeasy bar downstairs before you leave!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dont miss this charming resto in Huyapam. Really interesting food, with local flavors. The barbacoa res was fork tender, and marrow soup was rich and delicious. the staff are well trained and seem to enjoy working there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent spot to while away an afternoon. Great food, ambiance and service. Worth the short trip. We stopped by a nice little butcher shop - Carnicería San Andrés - on the way home and picked up some amazing hand-cut bacon. What more can you ask for?
