★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rented a car through MacEvents, operating from a desk in an artisan shop elsewhere in town. Though they normally do tours they were the only place that could find an automatic for me at short notice and although more expensive than manuals, it was the perfect car for driving the rough roads of the Mixtec Alta. No problems at all with money, no scams, and they drop off and pick up the car at hotel door.
