★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La sazón y sabor de los guisados es buena (llevamos varios machetes de pastor con piña, chicharrón, y una gordita de chicharrón).
Las dos salsas que pusieron acompañaban bien a los machetes y a la gordita.
Lo que falló, y bastante, es la "experiencia al usuario". Ya que el lugar está pequeño (aunque no éramos muchos en el horario por lo cual no estábamos incómodos) las personas que esperan su orden tiene vista directa a la preparación de los alimentos y nosotros, junto con otras tres parejas que estábamos, vimos y comentamos de la manera de servir y preparar. Se ve muy mal que para cada machete colocan la porción que se supone le toca sin embargo, de esa porción, al final le quitan como un cuarto para armar otro machete. Es hasta que pruebas el machete que sientes que es más el espacio que muerdes y sientes solo la masa de la tortilla que el guisado que pediste. Lo mismo pasó con la piña de los machetes de pastor, como era la primera vez que acudimos decidimos solo observar y no quejarnos, pero a uno de nuestros machetes de pastor no le pusieron piña y a los otros prácticamente los trozos de piña eran 4 pedacitos los que ponían en todo el machete.
Comparando con otros lugares con este tipo de antojito (en el Centro de la Ciudad y Xochimilco) realmente el sabor es bueno pero lamentamos que la cantidad de guisado no vaya de acuerdo al precio del producto ($85 pesos para el caso de los machetes con queso, $80 los machetes de pastor con piña). No recomiendo que pidan con queso el machete, le ponen todavía menos guisado y lo cubren con el queso.
Es un buen lugar para conocer y probar al menos una vez pero se deben ajustar bastante las espectativas. Tal vez son machetes por los que esperaría pagar unos 60 pesos pero por el precio yo buscaré otras alternativas.
Lo mejor fue la gordita de chicharrón, realmente recomendable, y motivo por el cual le pongo tres estrellas en lugar de dos.
The seasoning and flavor of the stews is good (we carry several shepherd's machetes with pineapple, pork rinds, and a chubby pork rind).
The two sauces that they put together went well with the machetes and the gordita.
What failed, and quite a bit, is the "user experience". Since the place is small (although there weren't many on the schedule so we weren't uncomfortable) the people waiting for their order have a direct view of the food preparation and we, along with three other couples who were, saw and commented in the way of serving and preparing. It seems very bad that for each machete they place the portion that is supposed to be, however, from that portion, in the end they take away about a quarter to make another machete. It is until you try the machete that you feel that there is more space that you bite into and you feel only the mass of the tortilla than the stew you asked for. The same happened with the pineapple of the shepherd's machetes, as it was the first time we went we decided to just observe and not complain, but they did not put pineapple on one of our shepherd's machetes and the others practically had 4 pieces of pineapple. that they put all over the machete.
Comparing with other places with this type of appetizer (in the City Center and Xochimilco) the taste is really good but we regret that the amount of stew does not match the price of the product ($ 85 pesos in the case of machetes with cheese , $ 80 the shepherd's machetes with pineapple). I do not recommend that you order the machete with cheese, they add even less stew to it and cover it with cheese.
It is a good place to meet and try at least once, but expectations must be adjusted quite a bit. Maybe they are machetes for which I would expect to pay about 60 pesos, but for the price I will look for other alternatives.
The best thing was the chubby pork rind, really recommended, which is why I give it three stars instead of two.
