El Macuiltépetl
Macuiltépec o Mackuiltépec o Macuiltépetl, es el nombre de un volcán y parque ecológico, que se encuentra en el centro de la ciudad de Xalapa, Veracruz, México.
El Parque abre los 365 dias del año, al igual que el Museo de la Fauna de Veracruz y Centro de Informacion del Parque y el Observatorio Macuiltépetl. Existe un mirador desde el cual es posible interpretar el paisaje regional, en el primer piso, por medio de 4 binoculares dispuestos en el segundo piso del mismo.
Existe una guia para identificar las aves rapaces diurnas que se observan en el sitio, incluyendo algunos especimenes entrenados.
Diariamente se hace una demostracion educativa de 12 a.m. a 2p.m.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice place for jogging. It's a natural reserve and the track is well kept. The Herpetarium has a good variety of snakes and the hawks and owls they kept to heal them is a good attraction difficult to see somewhere else.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very beautiful park with lots of trails and nature. They have a small animal museum toward the top of the park with many reptiles and birds outdoors. There is a wonderful observation deck for $10 peso that offers stunning views of Xalapa city and the surrounding mountains and volcanos

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A pretty nice lush park with various trails and playgrounds. Nice tower as well to view the city (costs 8 pesos a person to go up). They close some of the entrances early so ask when you enter.
