★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Guarantee of a tasty Mexican breakfast with distinctive features. The place is beautiful. A slightly better bakery would make it a 5 stars.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Maradereros was recommended by our hotel concierge and it did not disappoint. Cute little spot (more locals than tourists) with super friendly service. We had a nice rose to start and then a killer bottle from the Guadalupe Valley. All the food was great but standouts were the tuna ceviche, crab and goat cheese croquettes and spicy chicken.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice atmosphere and the staff were great. Difficult to find restaurants in this area so nice it is here between all the busy streets. . I am in a hotel in the area. The food was good but a bit overpriced for what it was. The meat part of my dish was underdone and the vegetables were just perfect. Nice to have healthy food but again, just overpriced.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely the best restaurant in the area, and it's fairly new so it hasn't been overrun yet by the masses. Fresh, local ingredients, well-prepared with hints of smokiness from the focus on open fire cooking. Attentive service from friendly staff and very reasonable prices for the overall experience. Small menu with daily specials depending on what's available that day, open for breakfast lunch and dinner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came to Madereros with some friends as, apparently, this is THE new place in “La San Miguel” neighborhood. I was a little disappointed overall: the waited had absolutely no clue whatsoever of the menu or the dishes. We asked on their drinks menu, to which he answered that they served drinks (?). Another waiter had to come to the table to explain what the place had to offer. We tried some mezcal and pepper drink which deliciously washed away the waiters’ lack of knowledge. For dinner we tried the crab and cauliflower pops (which I could’ve definitely spared), the pork (whose only surprise was its overpricing), and the grilled picanha, which itself saved the entire dinner. It was simply perfect; served with a roasted eggplant pureé and some veggies —totally worth the entire dinner.
For desserts we tried the arroz con leche (my mom’s is waaaay better) and the matcha bread, which was just okay. We heard about the parmesan cake —which was sold out—, and i’d be willing to come back just to try that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great dining experience in San Miguel Chapultepec. Went for lunch on a Sunday. For appetizers we ordered cauliflower and soft shell crab croquettes and chicharrón of jowls with eggs (very delicious). Our main course was risotto with mushroom and beef, seared tuna and chile en nogada. All the dishes were great, with the exception of the tuna which was a bit like lukewarm. Good service, fairly priced. The ambience was cool.
