Mahasand Hotel & Hostel - 77976 Mahahual

Nous sommes entassés à 20 voyageurs dans une arrière boutique transformée en hostel . Il y fait très chaud la nuit et il n’y a pas assez de place. Il n’y a qu’une douche pour tous . Les lits sont juste à coté de la réception sans que la porte se ferme. Inadmissible de payer autant pour ça. Vraiment on ne peut pas se reposer.

En general de bueno a regular el encargado un argentino es muy prepotente y mamon , las habitaciones estas bien justas con el costo , agua caliente, Internet etc etc. Pues en lo general es regularson ¡¡¡ Es como un lugar hipi y ese es el tipo de personas que más lo frecuentan ¡

Very nice place near the beach

Amazing place, but there is lots of sargazo nearby so smells like rotten fish ?. If you see sargazo in the beach the day you visit I would suggest to stay somewhere else, there are other great options. The staff is alright, not very helpful tho.

One night the airco was turned on to 18 degrees. The owner left and hid the remote control. Some ppl were literally freezing. The next night the 18 person dorm room was suddenly not with airco anymore because only 5 ppl were staying here - to save on the electric bill. Do you see the irony?

It was still being completed when I visited beginning of July 2018; clean, cute. Co-ed dorm room. Too many beds in one small space. The other half of the room was still under construction, dust and all. Management was barely present. Risky way to run a co-ed dorm. Oh, the senora charged me extra for showing up after midnight, for waking her up! Geesh! There are better, cheaper dorms along the malecon.

They sell aircon rooms but they turn it off during the night because we were just with 5 people. It starts from 6 people.. They never told us that! 18 beds in one room. Wayyyy to hot. Close to the beach, the door is always open. So a lot of mosquitos are inside. The staff don't care and it's still under construction. But they will not give any discount for it. You find better places that is worth the money!!!

MAHA SAND SUITES HOSTEL Bed in 18 bed DORM : AVOID the owner only wants your money. I don't think he knows his job, which is one of service to a client.. 1. No AC if you are not at least 5 in the long 18-beds dorm.. I had NEVER seen that BEFORE. (WE WERE 4 and couldn't get the AC !). only 3 FANS in this huge dorm, and mine didn't work properly.. You can imagine the SLEEPLESS night with this heat ! 2. No breakfast, hard to wash in a shower as there is few water.. 3. Bad tours : what was supposed to be a 1h30 snorkeling tour with turtles actually was 30 minutes in the water and NO TURTLES. Their excuse : you know turtles are not always in the same spot. Fortunately I got my money back. 4. You have to pay for the shampoo and soap... Too expensive for what you get.
