★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing service and ambience in a tree-lined avenue of Roma Norte. Well priced and adventurous menu. I had a small problem with my mains which they sorted out pronto and the end result was delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was great however I'm docking stars because they are not upfront about their 15%+ "service charge" and it's not even part of the final bill. The waiter took our money and just decided not to return our change without any heads up.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're visiting the city for a limited time, please put this place on your list. You absolutely must try the Esquites Especiales con truffle. Its a creamy, cheesy, but balanced corn dish that will knock you off your socks.
Served as an appetizer, I'd put it against any other opener in the city. Even if you're going somewhere else stop here for your firsts.
Staff is super nice and service is great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Maiz Tinto had become my fav spot in la roma.
But last time I went there with my best friend we were rudely forced to drink unknown mexican wine. And when i said i was not a big fan of mexican wine he took it personal and started insulting me. It was one of the worst ever experience. Never going back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great al pastor tacos! Please don’t over do the cilantro on the dishes… it was a little annoying on the guac.
Cucumber margaritas are on point!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful apps, the chef really knows what they are doing. Drinks are awesome. The patio is a bit rustic but honestly the service, food, and prices make it all a 5/5!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of my favorite restaurants in CDMX. Excellent service and delicious food, with generous portions. Get the Esquites Especiales con truffle - absolutely divine appetizer to warm you up for some solid tacos (my favorite is the suadero). And the French toast with mamey seed cream for dessert is a spectacular way to end the meal. Tortillas are *almost* too pretty eat - but they're delicious so you can't help yourself.
