★ ★ ★ ★ ★ very cozy ambiance and authentic Singaporean cuisine. Everything we ordered was great, the Hainan chicken rice was very good and the Laksa also just as tasty. Marylin was kind enough to come say hi, definitely will be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Somewhat enjoyable, garden is nice and music was fun. But the food was really underwhelming, and very very expensive.
The Wagyu meat was hard and overall taste was off. They have no cocktails. The wine list is obnoxiously expensive. Crowd is the usual Roma foreign colonizers, so beware!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is easily one of my favorite restaurants in the world — so much so that I brought my chef friend here for dinner and he wept at the first dish. The Larb is everything you could ever dream of, the Laksa will warm you up inside and make you a better person, the wine list is excellent, the owners are perfection in human form, and the servers are lovely. I would go every day. Everyone who gave this place less than 5 stars is wrong. Gracias for existing, Makan.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tucked away in a secret garden, I stumbled upon Makan and was delighted by the food and atmosphere. It neighbors Meow bar for late night drinks after dinner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As a Malaysian and a fine dining restaurateur I might be a bit bias here but this would be my honest opinion. The food tasted great! But they’re small portioned. As the food plating, maybe less the greens on top as the dish looks less aesthetic. The crab dish was the most expensive ones but there’s only about a tablespoon of meat served in two small claws. I like the way one of the waiters explained the larb inspired ceviche dish and papadom as they got served but there’s some misinformation. There’s a male waiter also explaining the menu to us in English so kudos to him. We were seated in some corner indoor and there’s not much waiters around and hard for us to get one. We spent about 80€ for two of us and we would expect a better service and food/meat portions.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was delightfully surprised that the chicken rice here was so delicious. The broth was rich, rice was flavorful, and the chicken was a little crispy and tender served with the classic scallion ginger sauce. I also got the laksa that had nice shrimp flavor. because I was sharing with a friend, they were nice enough to split the laksa into two bowls for us. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for yummy Singaporean food. It has a lovely ambiance and great drinks as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic little gem hidden in the Roma. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable and ready to fill up your wine glass when running low. The food is amazing but I do have a gripe about it not being very consistent. I've been here once a week for more than a month and every time the dishes are a little different. Not always for the better. Other than that, it's a great place with cute ambiance and great food.
