Very fun place to shop for souvenirs and eat. Food is overpriced as this is where all the tourists come but it is still delicious.

So much fun to visit!!! On the weekend the have multiple bands playing and people dancing. You can also catch a beautiful sunset.

This is the shrimp market downtown. Definitely a fun place to visit I think that there are better places to buy shrimp. There is a place north of town that has fresh shrimp right off the boat for better options. It seemed that some of the shrimp here was puffed up and full of water.

One of the best shopping place in Puerto Peñasco. Tourist necessities & souvenirs, pharmacies & fresh fish, shrimp & other seafoods. Good resturants, local venders selling foods, drinks & snacks. Relatively safe with tourist helpers & police officers around. Live bands on the weekends. Nice ocean views & some good places to take tourist photos with signage & statues. Free parking. I always enjoy dining at Mary's, Flavios or Sr. Amigo.

We came both in daytime and at night. Felt safe. Was unable to find what I was looking for, amazingly enough. There are so many shops with so many wares and things to look at. Seems about 50/50 you will get someone who speaks English, so, a tip - this IS Mexico - learn some Spanish so you can get by and smooth relations over. Right by the parking lot (which, by the way, accommodates smaller cars better), they have a place you can sign up for the cruises. Sounds fun, but we already had other plans. They have prices and meals/beverages for the whole family, except infant meals. I didn't even notice how young they allow kids on the cruises. Lots of pharmacies, 2 Thrifty Ice Cream places, lots of places to buy souvenir-just-about-everything/tzachkies, places to buy shrimp, many restaurants and bars, even a dance club (it sounded like, from the loud music). The traffic in and out, however, is horrendous, all times of day and night, during the weekend in summer, at least. Go at your own risk - and allow lots of extra time if you are on a timetable (like showing up for your cruise). This is why the low star rating. Crowded and congested.

Don’t expect much from this activity. It is a typical tourist trap, but if you are looking for some fresh shrimp, there are many options. The shrimp are jumbos, and while I didn’t buy any in the marketplace, I did eat in one of the restaurants along the Malecon. The shrimp was excellent and the ocean view breathtaking. The parking situation is a mess and people will approach you to watch your car, wash the windows, help you park, or just panhandle. This gets a little tiresome.

What can you say... a fisherman riding a shrimp. Not something you see everyday! A must do! Great seafood restaurants overlooking the sea, yummy margaritas, friendly (a little pushy but polite) locals. HUGE fresh shrimp.

Very accessible and friendly place. You can see the sea very clearly. I loved the place! If you are looking for things to give out like key chains I suggest to look around ask before buying. The people selling are very accessible to re-negotiate prices. Always keep an eye on your stuff and lock your cars just in case.
