★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Malecon is a place where one gets a great general view of the food, culture, people and the amazing views. That and The fact that you can sit there with your ice chest and enjoy a few cold ones should you want to.
It is always fun and well worth the visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty crazy market. Great restaurants and tons of shops. Lot's of cart vendors selling incredible food and drinks. Amazing ocean view. You do get bombarded with people trying to sell you activities like para sailing and sunset boat tours. But it's definitely worth checking it out

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is one of my favorite hangouts. I wanted to buy some blankets, but every parking spot was full. Good to see their charging to park. It rated 4 stars only because I couldn't stop to visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Malecon was a must see. It sits right at the edge of the cliffs with beautiful views. You can see all kinds of pelicans and take lots of really nice beach pictures of the water hitting the black rocks below. This area did feel like a tourist trap to me. I found better deals with the vendors of Avenue 32 which was further inland. They did have lots of bars and restaurants so it is a nice place to eat and catch a sunset.

I recommend the Churr-assic churro stand, the best churros in town!! Open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday on the malecón
