This is an area that probably every visitor to Puerto Vallarta has seen or wants to. Beautiful views of Banderas Bay all the way from Punta Mita on the north to Las Animas on the south. Shops, art galleries, sculptures, and sidewalk cafes line the boardwalk along the beach where waves roll in crashing against the white sand beach, rocks and seawall. Because we have such fantastic weather here visitor's are almost always guaranteed a perfect picture postcard view.

Malecón in Puerto Vallarta is one of the most iconic place full of beautiful sculptures, various restaurants, local vendors and street food. It’s a Beautiful place to walk, eat, relax and people watch. I had a great time there.

My favorite place to walk in Puerto Vallarta. It's got everything, shopping, restaurants, bars, views, street art, music and the beach

There's all sorts of things to buy and eat here. It's a real fun time. Crepe stands were to die for.

In what will be news to nobody, there are people trying to sell you doodads at all times, even while you’re eating at a restaurant, which kinda sucks. And there are pretty much no stores on the Malecon you’d actually want to buy anything from, as they’re all full of the same sorts of trinkets you can find from stores all over Mexico. But it’s a nice walk along the ocean, and there are some neat art installations that make for good photo ops.

Absolutely loved walking here. It has a great vibe and authenticity. A lot of eateries around. We attended a flea market and prices are far cheaper than any other outlets on souvenirs.

Spend time to stroll the Malecon and take in all the sights (and smells) of this vibrant bay front promenade. There are many artisan shops for tequila, raicilla, folk-art and leather goods. Street-food, restaurants, people watching and vendors galore. We went both after dinner and again, during the afternoon for lunch. Bring a hat and sunscreen during the day. There are also statues and street-performers with authentic indigenous ritual performances. Very friendly, laid back and safe area. Good for both socializing and for family.

Lovely promenade with a lot to see! Nice to stroll along in the morning before the heat sets in or in the evening when the restaurants and bars really come to life. There are several statues and sculptures along the walkway-- really cool to see but if we had more time I would have loved to join a tour to learn more about them.
