MAMBA JERK CUISINE & DRINKS - 77710 Playa del Carmen

Love this spot! What a beautiful space to grab some food, or a drink. Everything is top notch. From the food, atmosphere to the service. ?

Nice patio to people watch while enjoying some drinks or a hookah. Service was friendly and overall a nice place to sit and chill.

Good food but the places oozes shadyness, they tell you one price for the hookah but then charge you more once you get it, ordered 1 beer they send me 2 and tried to force me to take it, ordered a chicken skewer plate but got the Jamaica one ( the more expensive one obviously) and to top it all off the waiter DEMANDS 20% tip for a below average service and makes you feel quirky about only leaving 15%. Wouldn’t recommend this place unless you are a local and they won’t try to scam you!

Spot would have been a calm vibe. But servers beggin for tips after anything they do is beyond me. I’m somebody who tips well but you beggin for a tip you get what you get. You lucky you got that ! Wouldn’t recommend

My boyfriend and I had dinner and drinks here. The staff was very helpful and attentive. We recommend the jerk ribs, skirt steak, and the chicken skewers! The sides and salads were also solid. Would recommend this place to others!

The jerk chicken at this place is nothing short of amazing. The drink special is 2 for 1 HOWEVER, they tried not to honor it when a friend came and ordered towards the end of happy hour. Their argument was that my additional drink was for her. Nope, we didn't accept this so many sure they are doing it correctly.

My husband and I discovered Mamba during our trip to Playa del Carmen and I am SO glad we did. We're both huge fans of anything with Jamaican Jerk and Mamba did not disappoint. We actually ended up going twice during our 3 day trip (first visit was during the day, second trip was at night with some friends of ours). The Jamaica mezcalitas were the best drinks we had out of all the restaurants we went to, hands down. Full of flavor and not watered down. As for the food, I have no complaints. Everything was seasoned properly and delicious. The service was also wonderful. Our server was attentive and checked up on us in a timely manner throughout the meal. The next day, we made plans to have dinner with some of our friends we met up with during our stay so we suggested Mamba as our dinner location and our friends obliged. I'm so happy we did because they enjoyed it as much as we did. :) I'm not sure why this restaurant has been bombarded with so many negative reviews but, I'm posting one in hopes that Mamba will still be up and running during our next trip. Fingers crossed!

The food was good, but way too spicy. I like spicy food, but their shrimp kebabs literally burned my lips. The drinks are great, the staff is great. The music and vibes are great. The only reason they’re getting a 4 instead of a 5 is because they don’t have food options that aren’t super spicy. If you ask for “less spicy” jerk options, they just tell you that it can be put on the side and they’ll only season your food with salt and pepper. Overall, it’s a nice place if you like spicy food. The drinks didn’t disappoint!
