★ ★ ★ ★ ★ El Manantial Xallitic, cuyo elemento arquitectónico a la salida del chorro fue colocado a principios del siglo XIX, es uno de los más significativos de la capital veracruzana, debido a su estado de conservación y por formar parte de la historia de la capital veracruzana. Dicho manantial continúa abasteciendo de agua uno de los pocos lavaderos públicos de la ciudad, todavía muy concurridos en la década de los ochenta del siglo pasado. Parte de el agua de este manantial es canalizado al Mercado Jauregui mediante una bomba.
