Deep rich hot chocolate (made with water is better than con leches (with milk). Fresh grated ginger tea (té de jengibre). Many good dishes - breakfast, lunch and dinner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Word on the street is it’s not maintained by clean freaks nor constructed by master carpenters. There are sheep nearby though, so if that excites you let me know and I’ll be sure to give you a wide berth every time I throw on my wool sweater.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In all of my time traveling in Mexico I’ve met more people here that I still keep in touch with and have amazing memories of at this Hostel Hands down. I don’t really care if a wall isn’t double insulted or there is a draft under the door. I’ve been here 3 times and I will be back again soon. Also the food is fire ? so dangerous if you get extreme munchies ..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really expensive and extremely dirty. Most of the toilets don't work or are too dirty to use. 135 Pesos for a super simple breakfast after paying 500 Pesos per night for a room with shared bathroom seems like a bad joke. Not recommendable at all

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bar is amazing really cool vibe . But for me at night it gets really cold and the room was more like an old garage and I was like no way . Much warmer places to stay but if you don't mind slumming it and love your psychedelics it's deffo a place to vist

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great hostel for the price with cool quirky/rustic vibes. Paid 250MXN/night (walk-in, cash only) for a private room, bathrooms are shared. Towels and toilet paper provided, there was wifi but we didn't use it since we had cell service. Quiet with a gorgeous view of the mountains. Seems to be run by a family which takes very good care of the place. Definitely feels very self-built/homestead-like in terms of construction and decoration which we thought was part of the charm. One important thing is that you flush the toilets by pouring in buckets of water from a barrel of water outside. This is very clean and sensible once you figure it out but some of our fellow guests did not seem to get the memo :P We didn't try the shower but other people did while we stayed so must have been functional. There's a restaurant/kitchen which doubles as reception but decided to get breakfast at the tamale/atole place up the road which was excellent. You can also buy bottled water (cold!) for a reasonable price, maybe a couple of pesos more than what you would pay down at the main street.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent small hotel tucked away in a quiet spot just a few blocks away from the beach. Older hotel, bit beautifully cared for. Excellent service. Very clean & good water pressure ( very important in Mexico!). We will stay here again.
