The Tour has been the best of my trips. Cross the mangroves with guides who know the place and work hard in its conservation, you will see wildlife in the silence of nature. Transportation is by kayak so we do not produce engine noise or contaminate the ecosystem. Do not miss it!

Incredible experience with Onésimo and its official ecotourism company. We took a small boat in the middle of the mangroves with this guide, a real enthusiast who shared his knowledge with us (he also has his little book to introduce us to the species and also lent us his binoculars). Along the way he showed us countless birds such as kingfishers, white pelicans, black eagles... But also baby crocodiles! Things Motorboats Cannot Do... We even learned to navigate this little boat and made the return trip by motorbike taxi. We highly recommend this unique experience!

No motor boats needed to see flamingos :)

Absolutely amazing!!! Went with my partner today and we shared a kayak, cost for kayak and guided tour was 900 pesos total (canoeing is more since the guide does all the paddling, would have cost the two of us over 1000 pesos). Our guide Angél was fantastic, explained a lot about the area and pointed out hard-to-spot wildlife, including baby crocodiles and all different kinds birds. He also spoke some English and taught us about the different plants and wildlife. The tour started in the mangrove forest (FYI, lots of golden silk spiders in the trees, for those afraid of spiders), then onto the river. After that, we went by foot on another trail through the forest to an area with dead mangroves and lots of flamingoes (during January-February, Angél said there are usually 15k flamingoes in the river and 5k in the dead mangrove area). This area is not accessible by motorboat, definitely worth checking out (besides flamingoes, we saw pelicans and different types of herons hanging out there, too). Tour ended with a ride on a motorized cart back to the entrance. The tour was about 2 hours overall. We had originally planned to kayak first and then ride a motorboat to see more flamingoes, but we were so satisfied with the tour that we decided there was no need for the motorboat. All in all, a spectacular day and Angél was a great guide!

Amazing Experience! We booked this tour because we wanted to see the mangroves and this environment in the most sustainable way possible. The price was VERY fair and we enjoyed it very much. We would definitely recommend this tour especially because our guide was incredibly nice and in comparison to the competitors who offer this sustainable tour, they didn’t charge any ridiculous fees for an english guide even though the price here was lower to begin with ;)

An excellent kayak trip through the mangroves to the heart-shaped water hole, the mangrove tunnel and the lagoon. The hawk-eyed and knowledgeable guide Fernando pointed out different birds and a crocodile just 3m away in the mangrove tunnel which I hadn't seen. Flamingoes flying overhead on the lagoon at the end capped a beautiful morning. Highly recommended. I was on my own but was given a reasonable and fair price. Thanks to Fernando, Maurício and Chico Che. Brilliant.

We booked a 2 hour tour with a kayak and paid just 800 Mex$. In addition this tour was much better than the tours with a motorboat, as you get really, really deep into the mangroves. Our Guide was Angel (I hope I wrote the name correctly)and he was just amazing. His English was not the best but he tried really hard and even tried to explain things in German (We are from Germany), French or Italian if we didn't understood what he meant. He also offered us sunscreen, mosquito spray, water and protective clothing against the sun and insects, so they really care about your safety, instead of just talking about it like others. One of the best experiences I've ever had and I would always recommend that you use take this tour instead of the more touristic tours around. Kind regards to Angel from Linus and Hanna.
