The most perfect yoga retreat destination. Pleasing accommodations in a center which serves its community with its own organic farm and a school for its staff members' children. The yoga and meditation facilities are divine.

Everything was clean and nice. The food was above average. The were some mosquitoes and the supposed internet was worthless. I would recommend the place to people that are good sports who don't have to have everything their way. Overall, Chacala is somewhat rustic compared to Sayulita, which is what we we looking for when we decided to stay there.

It was a bad experience! I went there like 3 years ago and I was treated horribly. I am a Mexican American that goes to Mexico every year. I went an old woman didn't want to give me information because according to her, I didn't have money because I looked Mexican. She told me to rent other "cheap" hotels. She discriminated me. I believe I recieved respect. In addition, I think her name was Laura. Thanks for the horrible service Laura!!!

I'm here now with a group of 15 people on a week-long retreat for hula hooping. It's been amazing... The food is incredible, the montessori sponsored by the hotel nearby beautiful, and the Zen/conference rooms are perfect for groups. The chefs have been super accommodating for gluten-intolerant folks amongst us, and we couldn't be more thankful to the staff for making this stay so special. You will love this place, no question about it!

This is a great family owned hotel and retreat center. It is right on the beach. The food has lots of variety, is mostly organic and made from scratch.

I only stopped into this place to have dinner. I did not stay at the hotel. And, to be honest, it kind of had a scary cult-like vibe to me. And the other guests at the restaurant looked at us like we were outsiders that hadn't been initiated. BUT, the food was great. And the view from the restaurant is incredible.

Lovely place to spend a week. Highlights were the healthy food, non-touristy beach, and free yoga classes! There were lots of options of where to relax, including a beautiful bar area, hammocks, beach chairs, or your room's private balcony. If considering booking here, bring lots of cash. Round trip airport transportation is $80 USD per person. Excursions also need to be paid in cash and are $25 USD per person or more. There were a lot of rambunctious kids staying at the hotel at Christmas time so maybe go when school is in session if you want a more mellow experience.

Very poor welcoming service and ridiculous prices for the rooms for a family. We were locked of the hotel. The gate was locked with a chain and lock. We called the number on the gate and no answer. We had to find elsewhere to stay late and very dark at night around 9 pm. This place had no air conditioning, the rooms were outdated , dirty and not well kept. This was the worse experience in Chacala. We mentioned it to the reception and all he said was oh. No apology from management, to amend their inconvenience they caused. Don’t spend your hard earned money here!!! Stay elsewhere.
