Worst food we had in Mexico. I ordered homemade parpadelle mushrooms and got penne - see picture. Which were tasteless. One of our plate was dirty and full of tomato sauce. We informed the staff who took it and did not apologize. The desert was so so so disgusting, the icecream was just a bloc of ice.

Beautiful property, rooms and pool. At the time of this post the resort has been open for 25 days and isn’t fully complete. Rated as two stars because it’s remote, over a mile to town. It costs $10 per trip to get to town and ferry. All the restaurants and activity are in town or on the other side of the island, where the beaches are nicer. The two resort restaurants are expensive, average food.

Excellent secluded location on the beautiful peninsula of the Holbox Island. Deep water clean beach with gentle yet powerful tidal stream along the shore. Clean and beautiful; inside and outside. BUT modest choice of food and shortage of drinks: “sorry, no white wine today”. Together with distant location from any options it makes an issue. Slow internet. Slamming doors - if you like to go to bed early or wake up late, you will go crazy of constant slamming around.

Been there for breakfast only and to look at the hotel. The location is prime and the design is really nice. Would like to see rooms and the rest.

Superb hotel !! Great location , super private beach . Excellent service .. If you come to relax and enjoy the beach it’s definitely the best hotel .. the rooms are super clean . Best hotel in Holbox

We head home tomorrow and I'm so sad to be leaving Holbox! This place is amazing. The hotel was really comfortable and the service was excellent. We didn't eat every meal here but what we did order was delicious. We ate at a bunch of places downtown and found the prices at the restaurants at the hotel were a tad higher but worth it, especially since meals came with bread, chips and dips, etc. to snack on beforehand. We stayed in a room with a plunge pool and used it a lot, although our room didn't have a view of the water, which seems to be the tradeoff. Also, Punta Coco is a great beach nearby with a nice sandbar to explore. There's also a path that takes you to a lagoon which is a hidden gem for viewing the sunrise. We're told the bioluminescence is in the Punta Coco Beach area but we didn't see it after a few tries, likely because the moon was too bright. We did suggest to the hotel manager (Mario, he's excellent) that the hotel provide water to refill canteens to help cut back on plastic waste, since many hotels and some restaurants offer that in town. We liked that the hotel is quiet and away from town. We went downtown a lot and the ride is 200 pesos one way (try to get a Can Am as your taxi rather than a golf cart....the ride will be faster and more comfortable but cost the same). We walked it once in the morning, which was okay, but I wouldn't recommend walking in the middle of the day. If you walk it at night, bring a headlamp or flashlight since it's a dark road (we felt totally safe, but it's a road with a lot of bumps and rocks). Also, the sunsets from the hotel are spectacular. We would stay here again and can't wait to return!

Best hotel in town . Brand new, exclusive , family friendly and off the beaten path. It’s truly a magic place . Bio luminosities are a stone throw away , so we were able to do that every single night with our kids. Food was excellent and staff very friendly. Overall an amazing stay… Will be back very soon

Best hotel in Holbox by far! Great location with a beautiful beach all for itself due to the fact there are no other hotels near the area. Staff is immensely kind, always wearing a smile and their service is amazing. They go beyond and above to exceed your expectations and make your stay as pleasant as possible. The food is delicious, fresh as can be. We came with a big group of friends, including kids and no one had any complaints. Rooms are extremely comfortable and clean. We felt like home. Definitely recommend this hotel if you are coming to holbox!
