The place is beautiful. Ir you're going for typical mexican food (Oaxaca), this is the place. Nice calm mood, no wifi and good mezcal. Just be patient because it takes a while to go in at peak times. Also the hostess are usually not the nicest, but don't worry, the waiters are super nice. If you have a complain, ask for Maria, she is usually there

Gorgeous atmosphere inside and out (go further in for more intimate seating and hammock in the courtyard). Food was excellent. Drinks were unusual and didn't disappoint. A wonderful experience. (It began raining while we were there and they were able to bring everyone from the courtyard inside out of the wet.) on my way out I believe I met the 'Maria' who asked politely if I had eaten. "Oh yes!" She does this place well!

If you want exotic food, this is the place to go. Not for everyone but worth the visit. Friendly service. Very traditional style which I loved.

This amazing restaurant has a great traditional Oaxaca atmosphere. It serves it's food on dishes made from natural resources like coconut. They ONLY have food and liquor that derives from Mexico and of the Oaxacan culture. I tried the traditional dish with ants, crickets and silk worms it was delicious. The traditional mole was also fantastic. The PULQUE is a traditional liquor that is mixed with fruit that you must try. This restaurant is a ONE OF A KIND!!

We came to Maria y su bici because it had great reviews, and it did not disappoint. For non locals this is authentic Mexican food! You will not find burritos or tex-mex here. Much of the food was from Oaxaca. There are moles, caldos, and other dishes steeped in tradition. You can even order "chapulines" or grasshoppers. I got the grasshopper and ant tacos. To be honest they weren't my favorite, but they weren't bad either. They were very salty with an interesting texture. The other food we ordered was very good. We got enfrijoladas, and tacos with mole. The waiters of the restaurant are very kind and helpful and there is even a playroom for the kids. Overall this was an amazing and authentic experience for us.

The decoration is amazing!, Staff is mostly friendly, it depends of who takes care of you. Dishes are good and tasty. Location is very nice but traffic is full. No parking lot available, some vegan dishes are available. Prices vary from cheap to expensive.

This was one of the best meals I have had in Mexico to date! The portions were beyond generous (read: I did NOT finish my plate) and filled with flavours. The variety of Mezcal was pleasant and the taste sweet. The variety of deserts was equally quite surprising. I was told by my local friends that the food is traditional and one of the best available in the region and my taste buds have to agree. The service was equally respectful and worthy of a family venue. Above and beyond satisfied. The memories will stay with me for a long time!

Great service, they allowed us and our dogs in. The mole was delicious and the tlayudas was excellent. Big meals! Come hungry. Enjoy a bowl of margarita.
