Visiting Chapala there are many locations where we can stop by for seafood. A cousin brought me to this spot as it was her favorite. I had the fried red snapper, or Huachinago the others at my table had the shrimp with red sauce "a la diabla" which are very spicy. And the other dish was shrimp in a tamarin sauce, a litter sweeter. If you have had the tamarindo drink you know what to expect. The food was prepared very well and the portions were good sized. The red snapper was the largest I had, I usually am able to finish the whole thing, but in this occasion I needed some help. The tamarind shrimp were spicy and sweet, very similar to a sweet and sour sauce. again the portions were a nice size, steamed veggies and a small ball of rice accompanies all meals. The place is very large and busy, always a good sign. We sat on the second floor, and had a great view of the lake. They had live music on the weekend we were there, I highly recommend this place.

The food is good. I had salmon and it was very flavorful. Comes with a salad, vegetables, guacamole and rice. Also had a pina colada- tasty. The wait staff is always on point. Sat at a table over looking the lake. It was windy but there was enough breaks to keep it out of your area.

Very nice place, food was good, reasonable prices. Service was EXCELLENT. At the end of your meal, you can enjoy a boat ride along the lake (for free). There's a donation suggestion for the cost of gas and maintenance.

The food and the place look amazing and the service is great. The problem was that just about all of the food was expired. The shrimp tasty like rotten slime. Fish tasted old and the oysters were the same and looked dry. Visually it looks amazing but I would not recommend it unless you want to get sick. Only thing I would recommend are the drinks.
